Moussaoui the 20th Hijacker...

I just now heard on FOX news that the government is now saying that calling Moussoui the "20th Hijacker" may not be correct, that they don't have any real evidence of this.

What kind of crap is this. The man is on trial for his life and they are now saying this.

I swithced over to CNN to see if they have any reports about Moussoui.

One thing I have learned is to take initial media reports with a grain of salt.

While I agree that only a fool would trust the government press releases much, if the guy is going to plead guilty of his own free will, then he gets what he gets. I am not a supporter of the death penalty, so I do not support him being put to death, however, if he knows he's facing life in prison and he pleads guilty, then what does he expect?

I always thought that in the US the death penality was used only for,
a murderof a minor
multiple murders
murder of a law enforcement agent
murder while in commission of another felony (like rape then murder, or murder while robbing a store, etc ) ?
Isn't he charged with just some associated type charge?
I seen it on the news, but didn't catch what they charged him with

The death penalty is not a Federal issue, it is a State issue. As such, which crimes are punishable by death depends, to a large extent, by the State, not the Nation. It may be that Federal law places some limits on this, but as far as I know, the death penalty can be given for more things than you have on your list.

Conspiracy to commit treason/terrorism/mass-murder might be on there, and I think simple murder can get you the chair in some states.

the punishment should be cutting his balls off

It doesn't matter if he is gets or life or death, if the goverment doesn't kill him the inmates probably will

Yeh I defiently I think the inmates could create a much more elaborate and creative punishment for him then simply a needle

One big problem with the death penalty in a case like this is that you lose your witness forever. Look at the McVeigh case. Now some people are saying McVeigh might have gotten help from someone related to Bin Laden's organization. It might be totally false, but without being able to talk to him about it, important information may be lost forever.

I did not see anymore about this subject so it sounds like media BS.
