Fact: Video killed the quality of music
I'm listening to rock classics and came to the conclusion that video and new
media seriously affected the quality of music today. Before music really had to be good to make it.....today video clips determine if a song will make it or not. Furthermore when there was little tv people used their time differently like learning howto properly play instruments and writing songs. I mean which songs of the last decade are even close to the status of songs from the 60's / 70's ? Which of todays songs will still be timeless classics like songs of the stones, led zeppeling, pink floyd, bachman turner and overdrive, jimmy hendrix, the doors, the stones, the beatles, santana etc, etc.....I could only come with less than a handfull.... I'm not saying there's no decent music at all today.....but nothing that even comes close to the classics of a few decades before. Am I wrong, did I miss something....please let me know...... :disgust |
i remember back in the day when i turned on MTV and they actually had music videos on... G n R , Poison and all those goodies
|
yea, I'll have to agree with you on that..I can't name a good band that came out recently either...
|
it's not about the product, it's all about marketing
it surely kills the quality... |
There are still some very good songs coming out...ok, U2's been in the music world for decades now, but their new song (Window In The Skies) will be a classic too I think...
You're right anyway, video clips are very important these days...too important? I don't know... |
Video killed the radio star! It also helped in record sales $$$
