Peter Boyle, R.I.P.
|
he was in one of my favorite X-files episodes. Where he is a life insurance salesman who can see how people are going to die.
In the episode he dies of auto-erotic asphyxiation. Hilarious. Now he is dead. Not hilarious. :( Also Frankenstein. Nice body of work, sir. RIP |
|
He was awesome as the monster in Young Dr. Frankenstein with Gene Wilder.
|
RIP Peter Boyle
|
Holy crap! That's sad.

Peter Boyle, who left the life of a monk to study acting and went on to become one of the most successful character actors of his time in films like “The Candidate,” “Young Frankenstein” and “Monster’s Ball,” then capped his career with a long stint as the meddlesome father on the hit sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond,” died Tuesday evening in Manhattan. He was 71. His death, at New York Presbyterian Hospital, was announced by his publicist, Jennifer Plante. She said Mr. Boyle had suffered from multiple myeloma and heart disease, The Associated Press reported. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/13/ar...4boylecnd.html R.I.P Peter Boyle |

I first saw Peter Boyle act in "Steelyard Blues", one of the funniest movies I have ever seen (see it if you can).
I also loved his role in the movie about Hunter S. Thompson titled "Where the Buffalo Roam" (the one with Bill Murray as HST, not Johnny Depp). His Frankenstein monster was a gem... He will surely be missed, both as a great actor and as a nice person. RIP Peter Boyle, ADG Webmaster |
I was just reading that he met his wife, Loraine Alterman, on the set of Young Frankenstein when she visited as a reporter for Rolling Stone and he asked her out while he was still in monster makeup. I hate Ray Romano but I still watched the show because Boyle was so damn hysterical. RIP :(
|
RIP Peter Boyle...
He's actually one of the reasons I watch Everybody Loves Raymond... The way he treats his kids and his wife... LOL |
:( Sad news.

Always remember..."Puttin on The Ritz!!!!! from Young Frankenstein - R.I.P. Peter Boyle.

To me, he will always be The Wizard from "Taxi Driver". His last AMAZING performance was as Billy Bob's dad in "Monster's Ball".
