webmaster traffic is expensive, once people start using this service, he can place banners on it, and make nice chunk of change from a fairly simple script

aw..thanks...

but don't most sigwhores get their (hopefully correct)stats
from their sponsors...and anyone else with a right mind will be able to track their banner clicks anyway....

If my sponsor it's ok with it I will give it a try :thumbsup!

Yep that's the idea anyway.

At the moment it's still in development, although functional. I hope to officially 'launch' it before christmas but I think it will be a little later than that.

What it is, for those who use it, is a way to track how many clicks their sigs receive. For example, someone clicks their sig, and that link actually points to csigg.com/[blah], my system counts the hit, updates that user's stats page, and sends the person who clicked on their merry way to the destination URL (which is your affiliate link or whatever - eg. www.datinggold.com/?affid=24232).

Users of it can then visit a page which will show their stats. (they receive the URL of their stats page via email). They can send their stats page to whoever they wish, for example if they want to prove to potential sig buyers how effective their sig is, or just work out their own ratios and so on.

Am I clearing it up at all?

I'm hoping to get some feedback from anyone, so please don't hesitate to make a comment! :thumbsup

Another advantage is that it makes your aff id less visible, which some people like. It also makes a prettier URL in your sig, which barely anybody needs but eh,.. :thumbsup

Not many sponsors show you how many clicks your webmaster referral link gets, just the number of signups and money earnt from that.

I don't! But there will be some bannerage on stats pages, eventually. I'm very minimalistic in that regard though...

-SECCO- 12-11-2006 11:39 PM

clears up some...but will you eventually pop some banners
to the people clicking the sig....or to the people using your service to
track their banner clicks?

No. But when someone clicks a link such as http://csigg.com/who - a redirect page is visible for two seconds. (click that to see). I'll put a banner on there probably. Might abolish that redirect page though, I'm not certain yet what works best for the users.

hasn't there been like 3-4 of these services in the past few years? in fact I believe that some of the larger programs have done them
