Just me? When deleting spam emails...
Do you look away from the screen? So you can feel like you never looked at their bullshit spam?
I do it all the time. I look away so as not to "give the spammer the satisfaction of looking at his spam". :1orglaugh :1orglaugh Fuck I hate spammers :firehair |
Nope I am not that retarded.

I actually try and register each email as I let the hate of having to delete spam fill me more and more with each keystroke on the "Del" key.
I'd never personally murder a spammer, let alone punch them or buy them a drink, if I met them in person. But if I had enough cash and resources I would pay for their death... If they had a wife and children, I might have to rethink my thoughts of hate; perhaps breaking both their hands so they'd have to be a no-handed telemarketer of some sorts. Of which I'd have to pay to have their tongue ripped out, providing the cash and resources were there. |
no because I sort my mail by subject, then delete in large groups so I couldn't read them if I wanted to

Speaking of spam. What do you use to check all your email accounts? I hate Outlook Express. Cpanel lets me autoconfig it for each new email which is why I use Express but what I would love is something that will let me flag spam, let me setup spam rules, etc etc. I would also like it to have a little notifier instead of having the whole damn thing open taking up space. Could some recommend something better? Thunderbird? Anything?

Another option is to setup Spam Assassin on your mail server (if that's an option). |
My ISP highlights them all in red..I don't bother reading them

I read the other day, spam is as bad as 9 in 10 emails (maybe because of the holidays approaching) - double that of June this year. It's clogging the intarweb and is becoming a real problem. |

No law passed can ever get rid of it. Case in point: penny stock spam -> who does the gov go after? |

Example: "Why is it so small sausage man?!" I still won't look at it.. but at least I can smile when I hit DEL. |

It'd be a shitty way to go, but not. Kinda torn on all that, I guess. Currently, I think I'll take the spam than go with what I mentioned. I'm no rocket surgeon or anything, but if slashdot's taught me anything, it's getting rid of the zombie machines out there acting on the will of the spammer. We need more blast weapons capable of taking out those machines; shotguns, wide-array lasers, Glade and a Zippo, etc. Stop the infiltration of botnets and we're good to go. Or, the world just legislates a horrid death, against all conventions, to spammers. Catch a couple, burn them at the stake and see how many other pencil-neck pricks try and hide in Siberia to spam their fake rolexes. Think about it - a bunch of hackers holed up in a desolate waste-land without their hot pockets. Have a satellite connection ready to track and reign laser fire down on them when they try and connect to the web and...... |
Yeap, receiving spam messages are tiring and such a headache but I do save them especially when the messages are interesting:)

I get over 4,000 a day to my frostedfaces account alone. Spam arrest filters out all but the 5 or 6 legit messages I get each day. I think it's like 20 bucks a year but its worth every fucking penny. |
