Anyone else have a LightScribe cd writer yet?

I just got mine a few days ago but haven't installed it

is there any brand of media that is better or anything else I should be warned about using the lightscribe?

fusionx 12-11-2006 08:12 AM

Waaay too slow, and I don't have a need. My sharpie works good for now :)

Might be a great tool for creating distribution one-offs.. want to crank out 20? Better make a LOT of coffee :)

Yeah the printing time takes longer than burning. I have several lightscribe drives but never use the feature.

What do you mean 'yet'? Is there a race I don't know about?

And secondly, I'm eating a mandarin and I accidentally ate some peel. Man it's gross.

thats the good thing about musicians, you could write on it with a sharpie 'heres your fuckin track'... just get a girl with big titties to deliver it.

Sharpies rule

Or I use my Epson R300 to print on the CD/DVD

Jace 12-11-2006 07:37 PM

I just burned my first lightscribe

it took 14 minutes for a full photo on the cd

not too bad and it looks pretty sweet

wish I could find some silver topped cd's though, this gold is kind of tacky

that is basically what I am thinking, I need something a little nicer than a sharpie...LOL...can't very well hand a sharpied cd to a promoter and have him look at it and take more notice

I was doing purple mirror cd's with stenciled spray paint on them, it looked pretty damn cool, and promoters always did a double take, and that is what I love

wonder how well goatse would work on the cd in lightscribe, with the hole as the asshole? hahahaha
