BUSINESS THREAD: Translated/Multi language sites..... a discussion

We've considered offering additional translated tours/members area for our sites and would like to get as much information as possible. Some of the aspects we've considered:

Tours/members areas:
With translated tours, are the members areas generally also translated, or do sites typically utilize the same members area (English language)?

Billers:
Specific successful billers by region - IE, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Chinese, etc. Which processors are preferred by region/language?

Languages:
What are the most popular/success languages to translate the site to?

Implementation:
The best way to offer the translated sites to surfers, be it through a completely seperate domain, or offer the option via a drop down menu or language selection on the site it's self.

Any input from affiliates, programs or processors is appreciated. I'm sure there are other ideas and concepts we haven't considered and we're trying to be as educated as possible. You can reply in the thread, or contact me on icq 176176 or webmaster [at] islanddollars [dot] com.

Thanks.

** if you don't have anything to add, I'd appreciate a bump for business :)

i think it would be a great idea , i would like to try out some sponsors that offers tours and galleries in different languages other then English. That way i could try out some some different traffic types and see what converts the best.

So far one of the more important points has included making sure the translation is done by someone who has the language for the translations as their native language. Then have someone else proficent in the language check it.

Keep them coming.
