Do you sleep on a King Size bed?

Contemplating on getting one for our new home.. wondering if I should since I do enjoy them in hotels but not sure what, if anything, is there anything I should watch out for or a reason not to get them.

SlamDesigns 12-09-2006 10:05 PM

I sleep on the couch.

spasmo 12-09-2006 10:06 PM

California King is the way to go. I can't imagine a reason not to get one other than lack of space.

Just be sure you get deep pocket sheets if you get a pillow top or they won't fit. :)

Me to, if I'm lucky...

I like it. Most rooms accomodate them .. I have an oddly large master bedroom, so my king looks small in there, but if you don't have something large, measure first -- it'll save you headaches later.

Also, make sure you can get sheets/bedding you (or your wife) likes .. sometimes it's tough in King.

bliket 12-09-2006 10:06 PM

Yeah, get a cali king and one of those space memory foam things.

BusterBunny 12-09-2006 10:06 PM

i don't sleep....

California King? What's the difference between that and just King Size?

yeap that is a concern i have, how limited are we when buying a king in terms of the sheets/bedding

Vendzilla 12-09-2006 10:10 PM

California kings are bigger, I'm a big buy and that's all I can fit on

bliket 12-09-2006 10:10 PM

A Standard King is about 4" wider and a California King is 4" longer.

King Size Pillow Top.. I love love love to go to bed at night.. A good mattress is worth investing in for sure!!!

Adult Search Results 12-09-2006 10:18 PM

i currently do not have a king size however i do recall spending alot on our mattress and i don't regret it at all.. a mattress is one of the top 10 purchases you'll ever make in your life

MyNameIsNobody 12-09-2006 10:40 PM

I have a king size bed and I only use half of it.. never sleep in the middle and never sleep on the right side.. Waste of space if you ask me..

The only thing good about it is when you have a girl over

LiveDose 12-09-2006 10:42 PM

Once you go king you never go back...

I have a king size bed and freaking love it. I can finally get a good night's sleep without my girlfriend infiltrating my side of the bed. It's nice to be able to spread out and still not have contact with the person next to you.

that's exactly it.. anyone that ever sleeps on a king size for the first time in their life will realize just how much extra space it is.. for most it will be a blessing and for a few others it might be uncomfortable since they're using to sleeping on top of their significant others :winkwink:

NemesiS876 12-09-2006 10:56 PM

Just by yourself a big soft carpet ..

I'm looking for one after Christmas for the same reason. Ours is Queen but it's just not enough, as we both like to sleep "diagonal" for some reason. lol

There's another Queen, and a single in spare rooms. Maybe I should duct tape them all together for a makeshift Cali King? :thumbsup

However, it's good to have spare beds for when the wifey starts throwin' shit at me, etc., so unfortunately, I'll probably have to shell out the $$.:1orglaugh

I have no idea how big 'king' sized beds are.
My bed is 180cm wide and 200cm long
(70.8661417 inches wide and 78.7401575 inches long according to google)

We have a pillow King, with an additional memory foam top. There are quite of bit of sheets and other accessories available for them now, versus years ago when we had our 1st one:thumbsup

Skillz Unlimited 12-10-2006 01:42 AM

I have a Cali King and it's one of the best investements i ever made. I have a memory foam boxtop bed and it's wonderful. I also have a sleigh bed frame that makes the bed sit really high off of the ground. You literally have to climb up into it! Incase you guys don't know, women LOVE big plush beds. They always want to lay in it "real quick" when they see it. My bed had produced a lot of pussy! Lot's of pillows and a down comforter do the trick. I'm engaged now and i think my fiancee may be using me for my bed!!

heywood 12-10-2006 01:46 AM

I have a california king, another vote for that.

But spasmo is correct, buying sheets and stuff is more expensive and less plentiful in stores

AaronM 12-10-2006 01:48 AM

I prefer to sleep on a Queen. (insert boy alley fag smiley here)

cal kings are narrower than a regular king by like 6".. they're just longer. i'm 6'1 and have no troubles, how tall are you that a cal king helps?

yep.. i just bought a new bed this past summer, ended up going with the standard king.. kinda stupid that the cal king is narrower, i could use an extra few inches for my feet. but i'd rather have my feet at the edge of the mattress than be 4" closer to my gf in the bed :1orglaugh

rigrunner 12-10-2006 03:44 AM

i wanted a massive bed but couldnt fit one in our room...we've got a queen size, its alright.

i need a bigger house... roll on porno dollars...!

sicone 12-10-2006 03:46 AM

We love our king bed so much we demand one when we travel. My wife likes to keep her distance from me lol

Wiggles 12-10-2006 07:37 AM

i have one and i love it, spent extra and got one of those mattresses that you don't feel any movement on, its wonderful!

gangbangjoe 12-10-2006 07:39 AM

bobby666 12-10-2006 08:16 AM

dennisthemenace 12-10-2006 08:23 AM

I sleep on a queen size and the wife sleeps on a full size.

ToplistBlog_Com 12-10-2006 08:25 AM

King sized beds are good to sleep on

Viper2K1 12-10-2006 08:42 AM

my bed is 180x220cm
that's like 1" less wide, and almost 3" longer than a california king :)
I'm a bit over 6 feet tall

Dunno how it's in the US, but here once you get something bigger than what's considered "normal" ... prices go up ALOT for the bed and sheets.

I like to have a good amount of private space in my bed ... certainly during the summer.

Sosa 12-10-2006 08:58 AM

queen one for now. would like up get a bigger one but then that means a whole new headboard and shit.

E$_manager 12-10-2006 09:07 AM

I don't sleep on big bed, but i'd like to. You should buy of course. It's like big bath - you just have to have it.
