WTF Is Wrong with ePassporte?

What the hell they people are doing around? It is just me or everyone is having trouble with them?

I asked one of my friend in US to gift me an epass account, he sent it to me. Balance was $1.

After a 2-3 weeks when I got payment of $325 from my affiliate, and yes affiliate is a big name -- Its IwantU, Epassporte suspended my account and when I contacted them they asked me to send me some documents for verification.

Alright, I sent them and account verification dept. turned my account to normal status .. Next day when I logged in again, I saw it is suspended again. This time customer service says they can not unblock my account unless my sponsors account is not verified.

How lame? -- How the hell this company does his work? Two departments dont even have interaction between them? One dept. opens an account and other shuts it .. whats this?

And by the way, what the hell I have to do with my so-called sponsor's account? They should verify him if they suspect anything from him. Epass have complete information of mine, my ID card, utility bill .. what else they need? Should I go to US and ask them to reactivate my account?

I started thinking that they just need money, nothing else .. they suspend account with money for no valid reason. They dont have logic, they dont have a 'point' behind their responces. So lame.

Anyone else having simillar problems?

Please guys, either get tell me any good epass alternative or tell me the way how to deal with them and how you people handle thier foolish security policies.

Your a small fish. Start dealing in the thousands then maybe they will listen to you.

JK

this is where membership to "the bro club" comes in very handy.

10 fucking threads a week about how fucked up they are, about bizarre issues, about frozen funds, about cards not working, about cards not being replaced, about customer service sucking, about admin issues, and so on... then, if a thread hits the second page, 5-10 "bros" will show up and make the obligatory "i have never had any problems with them. they are top notch, ... real stand up guys" posts.

exactly :( Epassporte is a fucking joke imho and I can't WAIT until a new company comes in and challenges them because right now they could say tough shit and there's not really much you can do about it since 99% of adult biz <$1k done online is via epass*

*dear epassporte rep please do not freeze my account I'm just kidding :)

Klen 12-08-2006 09:18 PM

You can fuck it but i didnt have any problem with epassporte latest two year.

tombarr 12-08-2006 09:22 PM

They know they are pretty much the only game in town so they don't have to give a rats ass very much now do they?

I hear rumors that PayPal is looking to get back into the adult market on some level...and if they do, I bet epassporte becomes a bit more attentive.

We have had our problems with them as well. I really don't like the way they work, or the way they treat people when they call. Almost like they have a very superior attitude.

tenderobject 12-08-2006 09:33 PM

sorry to hear that... although if you have time try to contact keyser.. their phone support sucks its look like the phone support doesn't have an idea what epassporte is...

Im from Sweden and I speak pretty damn good English but when I call epass support (iv'e done that 4-5 times) I always wonder if they hire cheap 3rd world country labour with no English knowledge at all. Frustrating but when it all works Epassporte is king!

split_joel 12-08-2006 10:57 PM

good old epassporte fucking pieces of shit

Here's the thing about posts like this one quoted --- who gives a shit if *you* haven't had any problems with them? What matters is that the original poster IS having a problem. Comments like yours serve no purpose in a thread like this, thus they are irrelevant.

I realize it is human nature to want to stick up for something you believe in or support your friends, but shouldn't we as humans also be intelligent enough to at least include some helpful advice for the person who actually IS having a problem with said company? Think about it.

emthree 12-09-2006 01:46 AM

Yep, i'm staying away.

Zester 12-09-2006 03:05 AM

why not use alternatives to epassporte ?

Much too intelligent a comment for an EP thread.

Something else the cheerleader squad tends to overlook is that the vast majority of the business which nominally EPassporte conducts, is entirely handled by computers and most of it by someone else's (ie their bank's) computers. Since their bank is hooked into and depends on the same network as every other debit card issuer, it is hardly surprising that the performance is comparable.

In any practical sense, EP's customers only work with EP themselves when something goes wrong or a question arises. If you are lucky, your question will be one which is covered by a scripted answer, otherwise basically you are screwed.

Dell telephone support - for example - can be equally frustrating, but if you insist, you can speak to a supervisor and responses to email questions are usually helpful. EP is the only service company I can think of which makes it near impossible to get past first-line support and has people handling email enquiries who appear to use the same limited number of scripted answers as those who work the 'phones.

So you fall back on Keyser and often he seems able to get more sense out of them, but he is on the outside. As I discovered a few months ago, if he is given wrong information or runs into a rubber wall too, his value is also limited.

Over the past 3 years or so I have had 3 or 4 all thankfully minor issues. More than with other cards, but not so bad. However, every single one has needed Rand's or Keyser's help to resolve and has taken days or weeks to sort out. If any of these same issues had arisen with a bank, none would have needed more than a single, quick telephone call.

Before anyone chimes in that EP is not a bank, that is not the point here. The point is that they are all service businesses and in that respect EP compares dismally.

jact 12-09-2006 07:15 AM

Any time I had a problem with ePassporte (and believe me, there's been more then a few) I had to have Keyser help to get it rectified, I didn't always get the resolution I wanted, or was promised by others, but at least it got handled. ePassporte need to take a training course in customer service 101. One man can't be the fixer for an entire support department's shortcomings.

wyldblyss 12-09-2006 07:18 AM

My number one pet peeve with them is "pending charges". For some reason if I ever use my card (other than at an instant teller), the charges go thru more than once. So epassporte insists on holding the funds for the duplicates for 30 days. I just called them because it has been 30 days and one of them is still not off. I was told they changed it to 31 days now, and their web designer is currently "updating their pages and changing all the inaccurate information".

I currently ordered something thru yahoo stores. Merchant charged my card at time of purchase (status is now pending). Charged it again (status is now pending) and then charged it a 3rd time (status is cleared). The merchant then decided since it was Christmas time he did not want to ship to Canada and would not be shipping the product.

So now I have one cleared charge, 2 pending charges and i won't be getting the product and epassporte is of no help. The merchant even called epassporte to give them the info they needed to reverse the one charge and remove the other pending charges, but that was no help, they are still there.

Vick! 12-14-2006 08:59 AM

So, basically everyone is having problem with them, atleast upto some extent.

What is a good epass alternate guys? Please recommend me some.

Also, How about a new adult payment processor which have built-in escrow and rating system.
Do you guys this it can work well and beat these retards easily?

Michael O 12-14-2006 09:06 AM

Vick!

I emailed you after you made this thread.
Since your account is a gift account and a gift account are tied to the account the opened the gift account, and the person that opened the account for you is ignoring our requests to provide documents to verify his account so we can reactivate his account, we can not unblock your account.

I offered you two alternatives for you to get your money.
1) we can turn your account into a spend only account so you can withdraw your money or spend it using your virtual visa.
2) If you open a new account we can transfer your funds there.

Please let me know which option you choose and it will be ready within 1 business day.

Arab_Sex 12-14-2006 09:23 AM

been using epass for a year. never had any issues with them.

V_RocKs 12-14-2006 09:45 AM

Funny...

Someone bitches that a gas station put a $50 authorization and it won't be lifted until 30 days later... They only bought $8 worth of gas... And then 8 more people do the exact same thing expecting a different outcome?

I have had problems with Epassporte... I have also had life saving situations with them too...

I have had problems with every single banking institution I have ever used. Wells Fargo, Washington Mutual, Bank of America, Citi Bank, the list goes on...

I have had problems with NetTeller, Fethard, WebMoney, the list goes on...

Stop bitching and get back to work...

ALL OF YOU!

Vick! 12-14-2006 10:29 AM

Thank you Michael, But I did not got any email from you. I am contacting to you via email now. I hope the issue will be resolved.

You have had problems will everything you deal with, So more likely you are problem.

I hardly had any problem with PayPal, my banks or whatsoever .. In case I had, they resolve it in timely manner, Not like this.

So, please if you dont have anything constructive to say, keep ALL OF US away from your destructive bytes.
