1024+ pixel tours, is it time?
I've seen a few new tours recently that are 1000+ pixels in width and they look great. Is the world ready for 1024pixel tours? It is time to bump up the standard tour size?

yes, it sure is
|
No. Too many people still running 1024 and 800.
|
Best thing you can do is have one made and try it out for a few weeks and see how it does. Even if you have to switch back you will have one ready when the time is right.

1024? Pfffff, no way.
When in doubt, just follow the leaders (Nastydollars and Bangbros). 800x600 always. |
800x600 needs to die already.
|
its like this little tiny itsy bitsy column in the middle. oh well.
|
Look at it this way..
anyone visiting your site at 800x600 is a broke motherfucker who can't afford a real monitor, still surfing on an old piece of shit & isn't going to convert for you anyway. |

good post tho marty, bump for biz |
i can't wait until the general public learns how to switch their screen resolution :2 cents:

I went 1024 about a year ago. The 800x600 surfers are now under 12% according to my stats.
I'd rather have a site that takes up more than half of the screen than please that remaining 12%. Seems to be working just fine. I wouldn't exceed 1024 just yet though... |
Possibly a script that would load a specific tour size based on resolution preference?
