Im Back after a bunch of Bullshit.
 

Fuck, my network was down, im shitting bricks, take shit apart (like i know how to put things back together)

Reinstall everyintg, still no internet connection. ITs getting worse at this point. Then i say fuck it and Get rid of all this XP bullshit, and format C and put Win2Kpro in. Then some bullshit platform or some shit gets deleted so my rescue disk and recovery doesnt work. Oh well, so i install all my programs again and on win2k pro.

Still no internet connection. Its not a network issue now, its just my fucking connection. So i fuck around with settings, everything you can think of, fuck everything up again, so I have to format c AGAIN.

FUCK.

Then i get everythign backin again (this after like 10 hours) and still no internet connection.

I call Verizon my DSL people, and I find out shit is down. FUCK! All this time i thought it was my network, so i took everything apart.
Then I took my whole pc apart by formating and reinstalling windows.


If i had only called verizon from the start I could have avoided this from the start. It was my ISP the whole fuckig time..

FUCK. I need a beer.
What a headache. If I had a dog, i fuckign kick it.

I broke a tooth on Tuesday....

Verizon DSL is horrible. I used them for about 1.5 years. The first year was okay -- I got what I paid for but after that the service went to hell with random outages and slow-as-hell speed. There are several class-action lawsuits against Verizon for shitty DSL service.

yeah, we were gonna stay till the end of the month, but sitting on the floor in an empty condo started looking less and less like any fun, so we split to the photog studio for the remainder.... slept in the studio in the "bedroom" set... lol

out here in the portland metro area there's not many choices for broadband though. there's usually only one choice for dsl or cable in your area, and sometimes neither or only one..

we only have one choice for each as well and the price is around $40/mo. I wonder if the telco's...are gun-shy about expanding the availability of DSL, what with the shit-kicking they probably took in all their ISDN infrastructure investments and watching the other DSL providers (Northpoint, Rythms...) go bankrupt overnight.

I know the feeling Bone, I went through my own hard drive fiasco twice in 2 months. There is no bigger pain in the ass than losing everything and having to reinstall every fucking program under the moon.

i had a shit day too -- fucking on the phone for an hour w/ the DMV and the Parking Violations Bureau of California...

First guy tells me -- sorry your tickets aren't paid yet -- fuck they are paid my bank statement says so -- so they got to mail me this fucking "abstract" -- yadda yadda -- no they can't fax it to me -- so this sounds like BS -- they can't even tell me when the payment data is sent to the DMV -- I call DMV -- I get some asian chick that speaks broken english -- she's a real bitch -- she hangs up on me!!!! -- I call back yadda yadda -- I finally get a chick on the phone that settled the whole deal in like 2 minutes -- I'm FINALLY out of the CALIFORNIA DMV!!!! FUCK CALIFORNIA. Damn I'm *never* getting tags or a license there again...

Sorry I just had to get that off my chest.

we have only just got dsl in our town about a month ago....no cable at all.........life on dialup sux......
gonna upgrade to dsl as soon as we can.....locked into a contract with our isp for a while tho.....only option is to take their dsl plan which works out at about same price as what u guys pay in the states....cheaper plans about here but would have to pay out the dialup contract.

I have the wireless shit all set up in my laptop ready to go. But ive reformated, and reloaded my home pc so many times, and now im using win2kpro and i cant get my compaq connection point cp-2w to open the door up for my laptop to connect to it.

When i configure the pc to be the "internet sharing" pc for my laptop to client off of, it says I already have an internet sharing pc set up with some weird ip address. WTF?

So I force it to be me my sharing, then i dont have the proper fucking drivers.

This fucking sucks. Ive been down for sooo many days now.
