What mattress do you have? I will buy a new bed this week

i am trying to get more healthy and do better things for my body. what i sleep on now sucks. the day starts when you go to sleep not when you wake up so i figure why not sleep on something that starts the day relaxed instead of all kinked up like i am now.

i was thinking maybe those tempurpedic ones or the simmons beautyrest.

any of you got any ones you can recommend?

those ones at the diplomat in florida are awesome too.

i saw tons and tons of good beds for sale on ebay but i dont wanna get taken on the price.

what are you riding at night?

Bryan G 12-07-2006 09:48 AM

I just bought a Sealy Posturepedic and it kicks ass. I used to wake up with a sore back every morning until I got this thing.

i was thinking about getting one of those as well. how much did you pay? apparently the brick has them on sale but i have no idea what the regular price is.

I got mine at Bad Boy in Toronto. It was the floor model and was normally $1495.00 I got it for $850. It was still fully wrapped up and fully under warranty. I got lucky, great bed.

JUSTB 12-07-2006 10:42 AM

I have a Sealy posturepedic king size pillow top. I got it on sale for around 950 I think.
I got really decadent last year and put another down and feather mattress on top of it. You can pick one up for a couple hundred bucks that will fit on top but still under your sheets.

We have The Original Mattress Factory here. I bought their 2nd from the top of the line pillowtop for about $700 5+ years ago and it's still in GREAT shape. I love it :)

Fred Quimby 12-07-2006 12:13 PM

I just got the heavenly pillowtop bed from the W hotel

King size was $1650 -25% = $1,237.50

Plus all the accessories was 25% off also.

I dropped another $400 on sheets, a comforter, a duvet (what ever the hell that is) and pillows

http://www.whotelsthestore.com/item....t_subcat_id=10

The code is: $T6X4A

I had memory foam seats custom made for my last truck... if the Tempurpedic matresses are even half as comfortable as those seats we're, that is the way to go.

I got the tempurpedic about a year ago. Best bed I have ever owned. It is like sleeping on a cloud. I went to the store and tried it out, nearly fell asleep on their display.

Jace 12-07-2006 08:06 PM

We have a big huge mattress with a 12" foam top to it

the whole mattress is like 3.5 feet tall

Spunky 12-07-2006 08:07 PM

Quotealex 12-07-2006 08:16 PM

Nothing beats a futon for a fit healthy person. It is not so good for overweightpeople tho.

Sick Bastard 12-07-2006 08:31 PM

I sleep "away in a manger"

E$_manager 12-07-2006 08:33 PM

Orthopedic matress is not good for me though i have a backache. It is getting worse when i sleep on such. So i like not a hard one.
So this is individual.

GooSearch 12-07-2006 08:38 PM

Jman 12-07-2006 08:41 PM

I just bought a mattress in MOntreal straight from the factory. Custom made to what I needed for myself.

I need xtra firm for my back and it's been helping a lot but still getting use to it so sleep is still a bit weird

Good luck on finding something good for you.

Mattress are like shoes, you spend half your life using it so it's worth to do it right ;-)

Daruma 12-07-2006 08:47 PM

you want healthy try this one :thumbsup

My king size futon bed is just about due for the scrap heap, but I nearly die everytime I go to part with it.

I turn the mattress every week (the SECRET to futon's), and it cost me a wad of $$$ but has repaid me every damn cent.

:thumbsup

seeric 12-09-2006 09:26 PM

went to the mattress store today, i think i am getting the one that the westin has. they are expensive, but its soooooo worth it.

CX* 12-09-2006 11:36 PM

seeric 12-20-2006 08:25 PM

i've decided to go with the mattress that the westin diplomat has. got a great price and will look and feel hot with the bed set I got.

test drove the tempurpedics too, its just not for me. i didn't like the sinking into it and not being able to roll around.

Quinn 12-20-2006 08:33 PM

I have a cal king beautyrest with the thick pillowtop.. There is a macy's outlet right outside of downtown la that has great deals on nice beds.. Get a 3-4k bed for about 1k that in my view are a little nicer then the westin beds..

amandaspost 12-20-2006 10:01 PM

Im looking for a new one too...I wanna try one with a really thick pillowtop. Anyone ever heard of double sided pillowtops? Not sure if they make them anymore.

cess 12-20-2006 10:46 PM

My bro owns a mattress store and according to him there isn't anything better than kingsdown. Well I take that back, I haven't asked in years...
