Idiots Guide To Starting an Adult Blog...

Starting a blog can sometimes seem very complicated if new to the world of webmastering. Dont worry I have written a guide that anyone can understand to get you blogging in hours time, and maybe even making you some money. So lets get started.

1. Getting a domain name- In my opinion, the domain has nothing to do with your SEO ranking but its nice to have a domain that somewhat relates to the content of your site. If you can get a domain name that has your main keyword in it. If your expecting SE traffic (which is preffered) then using the "-" sign is ok. ie. hot-sexy-girls.com - I have found that this does not really effect your rankings in the search engines. I have listed below some places you can buy domain names.
Once you have found a domain name you like go ahead and buy it. You are on your way to becoming a blogger and the excitement should be very intense.

2. Find Hosting- Finding a good hosting company can sometimes be difficult. When looking for a hosting company the first thing you need to do is make sure they host adult sites. Some hosting companies do not allow this, so make sure they do or your fucked. You want to make sure the company has a good reputation for:
customer service - do they respond in a fasionable and timely manner? Can they provide easy to understand instructions for your questions?
price - make sure your company isnt overcharging you. do some research and compare pricing with some different companies.
Up-time - make sure their servers arent always crashing. the last thing you want is server trouble. Its very easy to loose surfers if your site is down all the time.
Some good hosting companies i recommend are listed below:
HostGator
DreamHost
OC3Networks

MAke sure when buying a package that it has the size you will need for your blog. If you are just starting one then the smallest one is probably ok. Remember, you can always upgrade if needed!

3. Starting your Blog- Ok, so you've got your domain. you've got your hosting account. Now what do you do? Well, first you need some blogging software. They are many scripts you can get that are great for blogging. some of them are free, some cost money. In my opinion, its best to go for the free ones because they work great and so why buy one!? Heres a list of great blogging scripts.
Wordpress - Very simple program and great for seo. Highly recommended!
Autoblogger Pro - Never used
it, but heard its good!
When new to the world of the webmasters, this all can seem very confusing. Its really simple though. Simply download the blogging script you decide to use. Go get a free FTP program so you can upload the script to your host. I recommend CuteFTP . Next you just follow the directions of the readme file or the documentation at the website. (its usually pretty easy)
Once the script is installed on your site you are ready to start blogging!
4. Optimizing your Blog for SEO- Getting to the top of the SE's can be one of the hardest things about having a successful blog. It takes a lot of expirmenting of trial and error. There are many plugins that can optimize your blog for SEO(search engine optimization) to get the maximum potential of your blog. Here are some great wordpress plugins that can dramatically imporve your rankings.
- SEO Title
- Google Sitemap Generator
- Feedwordpress
- Headspace
- Ultimate Tag warrior
Installing these plugins are easy. If using wordpress, just open your FTP client and go to your plugin folder located at yoursite/wp-content/plugins. Put the files in there and then activate them in your blog-admin.
find a good theme- wordpress blogs allow you to totally change the look and feel of your blog. Having a good theme is very important. People dont want to be a at a boring looking blog. Make sure your theme is good to the eyes and has some good images.
5. Finding Sponsors- Finding the right sponsors can be difficult sometimes. Finding the right sponsor is all about trial and error. If your making sales with them, good. If not, maybe you should think about finding a different one. Heres a list of sponsors I have had some luck with.
- BangBros
- Lightspeed
- jaymancash
- girls gone wild
- teenrevenue
- panchodog

These are only a few programs. There are thousands of great programs you can use to make money with. Try different ones and see which ones do the best for you and your new site.
7. Research your keywords - When looking to get to the top of the SEs you need to do some research. Find out which keyword you are going to use before you start writing content on your page. Find a good keyword is very simple. Do not use a keyword that has 300,000 searches a month because you will not be able to compete with the other guys using the term. Go here and find out how much terms are search for. Use a main keyword and see how many times its searched for. Let use "teen porn" as an example. That is searched for 180,000 times last month. We wont be able to compete with that term. Go down the list a way. "teen porn star" was searched for 6,000 times. We could compete with this term better because its longer and not as competitive. As our blog gets bigger and better we can start trying for the more competitive keywords, but for now start small!
6. Writing for SEs - Getting to the top of the SE's mean having content and keyword rich post. Use the keyword you chose for your title. The first thing the SE will see is your title so use your keyword you chose. Be sure you use your term in your post and make it BOLD sometimes. SE reconize that the bold words are important and correlate them with your site. An easy way to see what SEs like is searhing for your term in google. Look at the first site and see what google likes about it. Go here and see the density of the keyword so you know about how much you need to use it in your post. You cannot make too many post. Search engines love fresh content so write up!
7. Getting Backlinks- Backlinks are very important for ranking high in SEs. After making about 10-20 post with good content and using your keywords go HERE and trade links with all these porn blog directories. Some of these directories have high PR and will get your site indexed in days. When adding your link to these directories dont forget to use your keyword as the title and insert in the description a couple times. Once you have traded with all these directories you can chill for a while. SEs dont like it when you instaltly get thousands of backlinks. you wll be penalized. The SEs like "naturally" linking, which is usually a link a day. Remeber, " a link a day doesnt keep the SEs away".( i think thats how it goes). MAke sure you trade links with sites similiar to yours. Try avoiding linkdumps and linkfarms as sites in these usually get penalized by SEs.
8. Congratulations! you have succesffully started an adult blog. Remember to keep making content rich post and trading backlinks at a good rank and you will be up there and making money in no time! I hope i have helped some people who were intersted in know about starting an adult blog. Thanks and goodluck!:thumbsup

It allows you to update your blog from an Rss feed (like UCV Rss Feed)

In the UCV feed you can specify your affliate id (coupon=123456) and get credit for the sale.

What about Blogger.com? I'd love to use Wordpress, but I'd also love to use Analytics, and they won't mix. Any other suggestions?

Blogger isn't good for adult sites as most people will tell you their isn't many adult sites left on blogger they wiped most of them.
I'm not a big fan of GA i would rather keep my sites stats to myself, plenty of other programs around to track visitors.

Anyway you can use this plugin if you have a GA account, it will work on most themes but some themes such as xlabor you will need to edit to get it working.

Well, if you need to compare products, I would say AutoBloggerPro is more along the same lines at Rss2Blog

all that feedwordpress does is push a rss feed into the blog, autobloggerpro gives you tons of options regarding what to do with the feed before and after pushing it to the blog

tytyguy 12-10-2006 09:45 PM

feedwordpress is a plugin for wordpress it lets you add RSS feeds to your blog that update automatically.

autoblogger pro would be compared to wordpress.
