Who likes the show Dexter on Showtime?

I'm addicted to Dexter. Weeds and Dexter are my two new favorites programs.

PaperJamal 12-06-2006 01:31 PM

weeds is awesome, though the season finale was a bit much i felt!

gonna check out dexter tonite

JUSTB 12-06-2006 01:31 PM

The Ice truck killer is one creepy dude!

juliocrockett 12-06-2006 01:34 PM

Me! Me! Me!

Both Weeds and Dexter. Even though Dexter has all sort of cheesy elements and some bad/weird acting, I'm totally hooked and checking in every week for the next chapter in the story.

I can't fucking WAIT for the next season of Weeds. They left it at such a crazy cliffhanger moment, it will be awesome to see how they are going to proceed.

Weeds, Dexter, and HEROES is my total dorky TV lineup.... now that the Flavor of Love is over. :pimp

rob34 12-06-2006 01:38 PM

haven't seen Dexter yet.......Ihear it's a very good show though:thumbsup

RuthB 12-06-2006 01:40 PM

LOVE it, it's GREAT! Such a great concept too :thumbsup

crockett 12-06-2006 01:59 PM

I watch it as well as The Wire on HBO every week.. I think the season is coming to and end soon isn't it? 8(

Peaches 12-06-2006 02:00 PM

I was SO determined that the Ice Truck Killer was going to be Dexter ala Fight Club, but their story line is much better than mine :)

SiMpLe 12-06-2006 02:01 PM

Hooked - Dig that show

Far-L 12-06-2006 02:19 PM

I like Dexter but they better have a really good reason for why Ice Truck Killer knows so much about Dexter or I am going to be pissed.

I'm thinking he might be his bio-brother.

pimplink 12-06-2006 02:25 PM

I am hooked to Weeds. :)

Yep but that seems like more of a stretch than if it were another "ethical serial killer" raised and trained by the foster dad... but who didn't turn out as well as Dex... which is what I am thinking might happen...wdyt?

Ooooh - I hadn't even thought of that.... :)

Here's my prediction....

They are bio-brothers, the father is the one who violently murdered the mom's boyfriend (which he witnessed, and maybe the crying baby boy on the floor isn't him, but Brother Ice Truck) and the Ice Truck Killer dude is the one who was NOT raised by Harry, but by the killer dad/on his own/in foster home.

It's like the nature vs. nurture experiment. Whatcha think?

B O B 12-06-2006 03:34 PM

MAN!
i love that show!

some of the smartest writing on television...what a concept!

a serial killer who was trained by his father to kill serial killers, who has a serial killer stalking him, while he works for the Police Dept...awesome

I think you are onto something. Checking it with Forensics now.

... not possible...

why would Harry let a maniac like that kind of dad live since we know Harry knew about bio dad and Harry would have to not like killers pretty much if he would train budding serial killers to kill killers.

collegeboobies 12-06-2006 03:50 PM

Dexter is way better than Weeds
, coming from a serial killer pothead

RuthB 12-06-2006 03:50 PM

I could conjecture too but I've read the book and know how that goes, and I'm thinking even though they've veered away from that story for now on the tv show so they can flesh out the characters, they'll probably return to it

the beauty of this show is that it just keeps getting better

I'm thinking the same, since he knew to recreate that bloodbath and knew it would fuck up dexter, knew to kill his bio dad and where he lived of course.. and of course they are both serial killers cause they share a similar past and genetics.

BoyAlley 12-06-2006 04:00 PM

My partner and I watch Dexter EVERY Sunday. We're definitely caught up in it!

So.....should we not read the book or will reading help? I don't want to ruin any surprises :)

I love the Dexter show. Never miss it. I think you may be right with the ice truck killer being his brother. Cant wait to see this weeks episode. and weeds, they're just plain wrong to leave us on the edge of the couch like that!! Fuckers!! You gotta love it tho. Cant wait till next season.

MikeSmoke 12-07-2006 02:13 AM

I think there were actually three Dexter books - the first was called "Darkly Dreaming Dexter" if you want to find it :winkwink:

reynold 12-07-2006 06:50 AM

How could you ever miss that? Dexter is one hell of a show. :pimp

I think this is a good prediction. It will be interesting to see how it ends up. Only 1 more show after tonight. :(

Peaches 12-11-2006 11:12 AM

Last night's show was awesome. Going to be an interesting season finale, but I'm sure it will leave a lot of room open for next season.

BigCashCrew 12-11-2006 12:10 PM

Yeah, they showed Dexter getting assaulted by the ice truck killer in the clips of next weeks show. It should be very good. I wish it wasn't over next week!

yeah by Jeff Lindsay, but there has only been the one that I can find.

He was writing a second one back in 2004, but he never finished it I guess, or at least I can't find it published anywhere, if you find it pls let me know!

Raven 12-11-2006 12:22 PM

count me in on the Dexter series.

one of the best i've seen.

reynold 12-11-2006 11:30 PM

I've been a big fan of that show. :thumbsup

Adult Search Results 12-11-2006 11:34 PM

I was thinking Brother too at first, but now I'm not so sure. I am thinking maybe he was just another kid at the scene who didn't get the opportunity to "Learn the code" growing up.

Although if were just another kid at the scene (10-3) how would he *know* about Dexter?

Hmmm.

Great idea for a show though. Kind of like Star Chamber meets Ted Bundy.

BigCashCrew 12-12-2006 12:24 AM

Yeah, It's a very good idea for a show. I can't really stand Dexter's sister. That actress is annoying.

Kiwigirl 12-12-2006 12:40 AM

Dexter kicks ass! :) Totally dig the show but at times I
still see "Dexter" as the gay brother David Fisher from
the HBO series Six Feet Under. LOL

_Lush_ 12-12-2006 12:42 AM

Dexter makes serial killing look cool.

but the season finally next week shows dexter plastic wrapped to a table with the icetruck killer standing over him not sure how he is gonna get out of that one

rodney25 12-12-2006 12:52 AM

One of my favorite shows right now. :)

TubeSubmitters 12-12-2006 03:12 AM

dexter kills bad people!

I Agree.

I like Dexter's Laboratory on Cartoon Network, if that counts for anything.
