Would you arrest your 12 year old son for openning a gift early?
I think this is some bad parenting.
A 12-year-old South Carolina boy got an unexpected stocking stuffer ? a pair of handcuffs ? after he snuck into his Christmas gifts a few weeks early. After a mother discovered her son had unwrapped a Nintendo Game Boy Advance that was meant for him as a present from his grandmother, she called the Rock Hill Police and had the young man arrested for petty larceny, according to the police report filed this week. Yes I think I'd arrest him and hang him from his toes until he gave me the name of his accomplices. Mainly because it's been posted like 20 times already.
|
I think I can handle that problem on my own. Cops deserve a better call than that..
|
Yep, thats a bit much. She sounds like a fruitcake.
|
Of course not. That mother is sick.
|
there was probably better ways to handle this kind of situation, but over all she didn't do to bad
She did nothing wrong, hopefully her little criminal will go straight now |

sounds to me that this is just another one of those spoiled rotten punk youths that are out there and someone has finally decided to make the little puke pay for his actions it makes me laugh aloud.. If the kid has been taught since day one to respect things it would have never happened ..
Youths of today are just a bunch of unparented little pukes |
Taxpayer dollars at work. Woohoo!
|
I would rather arrest that retarded mom for wasting my time..

yea, i respect the fact that i don't know what was going on, but being charged for petty larceny? For a christmas present? If i was the kid, i'd be choked
R |
When i was kid my parents always hide gifts good so i was never able to found them before christmas.Plus i think is better to wait christmas instead getting gift before,it simply better feeling.
|
who cares. Its GBA for a 12 year old kid, dont leave it so obvious in the tree.
|
Thats so lame
|
Simple solution: Just smash the Gameboy into pieces on the floor and say, "Merry fuckin Christmas."
|
When i was small i found the gifts, looked and then put on the place as if nothing happened. Then made artificcial surprise on the New Year.
|
Of course not. What she did is ridiculous.
I would have just given him ALL of his gifts, made him open them all, (if he hasn't already), and that would be his (your favorite deity's son here)mas. Then, on the real holiday, he'll have nothing to open and will be forced to see every other child have fun opening their gifts. |
society went way wrong when they quit letting parents beat their children...
i would have slapped the shit out of the brat so many times before he got anywhere near that present that he wouldn't have ever thought of stepping out of line.. |
This is the price society must pay for destroying the family unit. Single mothers cannot be a mother AND a father.
|
they'd better arrest the mother
i think it should be illigal to be so dumb |
That's a mother with issues, imho.
EDIT: and it seems the grandmother's on board with the whole idea. Talk about you're stereotypical white trash family... No wonder the kid has anger management issues. |
I still think that she didn't so all that bad a thing. She probably just wanted to scare him like other parents have done if their kid has taken something from a store or something.
I would rather have a kid made to face music than just be allowed to get away with stuff over and over. |
hell no :)
|
It's a bit overboard, I must say! But the kid had been getting in a lot of trouble and not listening to authority.
I'm not sure what I would have done to straighten him out. I doubt I would have had him arrested though. What would YOU do if your kid acted the way that kid did? If you read the whole article, he was causing a lot of trouble. |
wow thats fucked up :1orglaugh
|
only if it was my gift he was opening
|
Have read this thread many times... I'm just angry with the mother, she's acting childish:(

Back to the Christmas present kid...this kid will now have an arrest record for the rest of his life...something that may or may not hold him back from being a productive citizen...this could very well hurt him on job applications etc. I think parents need more original type punishments to get their point across without necessarily beating their children etc...I kind of like some that have been expressed here...like destroying the item...or having him open all of his up right then and not having anything to do on Christmas day...or better yet...make him donate all his gifts to Toys for Tots. Much better things to do that will get his attention without ruining his future. |
I'd just tell the kid that Santa Claus didn't exist...That's punishment enough....:BangBang: :xmas-smil

HAHAH thats too awesome

I would of never bought the little shit a gameboy for xmas in the first place if the kid has been nothing but bad. sounds like he didn't deserve it. the mom is off her fucking rocker

Would I have had him arrested? Nah, I would have threw the GameBoy against the wall and then made the little fucker clean up the mess. Let him learn that when you do stupid shit...things don't work out so well for you. |
