no... what's up with that?
|
Yes, actually... well my mom and grandma did it to me. I used to get bronchitis a lot when I was a kid and there's an old remedy that involved getting little bottles, getting all the air out of them by lighting the inside on fire, and suctioning them to your back.
It doesn't hurt at all but you get big bumps on your back that are even higher than the ones pictured. It was always a lot of fun when my mom would do it. A few years back I remember someone got arrested because they considered it child abuse. I used to love it and there definitely wasn't any pain, but it did look horrendous. |
its called cupping and its used in chinese medicine, the idea is to bring new blood flow to the area that is causing pain.
|
some celebrities used this kinda medication...

Isn't that called "cupping". I've heard it's good for you...supposed to draw the toxins out of your body or some such.
|
yes Viki.. in the old days we would use glass and fire.. now they make it easier to use...
it doesn't hurt if you are feeling under the weather, but if you are healthy, it does not feel good, afterwards.! |
Wtf?
....... |
Yes, when i was small. They made it to me twice....
|

"Cupping has also been found to affect the body up to four inches into the tissues, causing tissues to release toxins, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activate the skin, clear stretch marks and improve varicose veins. Cupping is the best deep-tissue massage available. Cupping is very useful and very safe and can be easily learned and incorporated into your practice. "
Bullshit, bullshit, and more bullshit. It's amazing what people still believe in the 21st century. Cupping must be Colloidal Silver's older, slightly more retarded, brother. |
:Oh crap looks really painful...
|
nope but i've heard that it is awesome.. i saw a program on television about it a long time ago, i believe they said gwenyth paltrow has done it. :)
