Is this a fair deal?

Say you were going to swap something for $2.5k for another thing that cost $2.5k would that be fair? It is just I was going to give content worth over $2.5k, probably about $3k for an item which cost $2.5k and there reply was they wanted what I had plus $1.25k in money...It is up to them if they do the deal or not..but I personally think $ for $..

SpyCam 07-18-2002 05:03 AM

i guess it would be fair if you give $2.5k worth of content and get your site or sites designed in exchange what would normally cost the same price....

I think if you do barter exchange both parties should be happy with it in the end, even when the prices of the goods or services are not the same

Krome 07-18-2002 05:05 AM

The thing is it is software for content. So neither party involved has to really do anything apart from send the other a disk...I thought it was totally fair..

SpyCam 07-18-2002 05:08 AM

yes, it's fair
go for it

I cant..they want the content plus $1250..fuck that...I want $ for $

$ for $ is normal even for things like design where the designer is having to do work specifically for you.

I would have thought for software that would be just as fair.

Is it ?-?????? (edited as I have the answer) - that price sounds familiar and I know they will do a trade.

Krome 07-18-2002 05:26 AM

I am not saying who it is. I think $ for $ especially when neither of us really lose anything..I lose more really in that my content ceases to be exclusive.

Jayson 07-18-2002 05:32 AM

I would never go over $ for $ and that is with content that is already non exclusive, so if your stuff is exclusive now I definatley wouldnt do it.

But I guess it depends on how much you want the software.

So what you are saying, is you are trying to trafe $2,500 of your content, for A-ConMan software, which retails for $2,500 correct?

Hahaha sorry had to put that in there, based on the dollar amounts I'm guessing that is what the deal is. :)

If your content is legitimately worth $2.5k, I think they should take the deal!

As I view it, it is perspective.

If I had a vehicle that I thought was worth $2500 and I wanted to trade for a boat that I thought was worth $2500, but the owner of the boat, though he did not dispute the value of my vehicle, was not that interested in the vehicle so he said I will make the trade if you throw in another $1250, that is perspective.

It was not "a conman", I promise...It was basically some software that is pretty soon going to be out dated when a company I know release their version.

The sales girl is now stating that she never wanted my content as it is shit...well tell that to my members who dont complain, my affiliates who love making $$$ with me.
