Banner Size Above 468 x 60 ?
i've seen some threads here that people now want a bigger banner than the traditional 468x60 - what's the widthxheight people are wanting?
gimme any other odd sized banner dimensions that are getting more popular too, thanks |
468x80 & 468x100 are popular sizes.
|

You should try and contact Peter at webink.com. I know this guy can hook you up with all the mainstream sizes. Thats what he does. Very smart decision by the way, a large variety of sizes available at your disposal will open up a lot of traffic sources.

I like 728x90's and 120x600's get really good clicks for me, particularly on blog sites.

Would be nice to see more industry standard sizes Mutt - amazing how few basic banners/buttons a sponsor can have out of 100's of choices.
Industry Standard Buttons/Banners: 88 x 31 120 x 60 120 x 90 120 x 240 120 x 600 125 x 125 728 x 90 234 x 60 468 x 60 728 x 90 Misc Industry Standard Rectangles: 180 x 150 240 x 400 250 x 250 300 x 250 300 x 600 336 x 280 |
dont forget the huge full page ads :)

Here is a great way to figure it out:
If a surfer is on 800 x 600, his browser can support about 740 wide or so before a scroll bar appears for side to side, which could disturb other elements on the page. So you have to keep a the larger banners under that to truly make them work. 728x90 is gaining in popularity, that is for sure. I would also suggest a 730 X 91, as it doesn't get filtered out by certain ad filter software. |
