ePassporte Hacked
 

My girlfriend has just had her ePassporte hacked and some bastard got away with $3000.

She's been on to their fraud office, but they say there's not too much they can say or do until Monday when the regular team comes on as they only have a skeleton staff on at the weekends.

Has anyone else here ever had their ePassporte account hacked?

Do you think there's any chance of her getting it back, or can she kiss it goodbye?

Are deposits on ePassporte covered with some anti-fraud policy like with standard online banks, or is there no cover?

She's getting a bit hysterical, so any information that anyone has on the subject would be gratefully received.

Kinda difficult to get $3000 considering that there's a $500 per day limit, so, the fraudster must have took several days doing it..

this already happened before to others.. the poster needs to search back.

if i recall, they didn't get any money back from epassporte. and the thiefs were able to take much more than the $500/day because they did it via debit transactions

Epass didn't get hacked, your GF's account did. Try not to use such as misleading headline next time.
