Anyone tried the ReBlog script?

I know there were a few threads about it in the past...but still,
how does it compare to the paid AutoBlogger Pro?

is it worth the time of a php noob like myself to figure out how to install it?

Never tried ReBlog...but here's the one that I do use: http://elliottback.com/wp/archives/2...cation-plugin/

Totally free, and so far, works great!

Never heard of it, sorry.

Both seem interesting, though, I'll have to see what they're like.

I just installed it and it seems to work great :)

only thing I was wondering... does it do cron jobs, and load the updated feeds on its own? because there isn't anything regarding updates in the options...

Even if it doesn't, you can probably "massage" cron into doing your bidding, no? :)

yeah that could be set up with the webhost, but if the script does it automatically it's even better :)

Never heard of that one. Thanks.

Dunno how it'd do it, besides a "fake" cron, but good luck.

The proper format, likely, is going to be something like this ..

"Normal" cURL:

/path/to/curl http://application.com

"Login" cURL:

/path/to/curl --get -d "user=username&pass=password" http://application.com

"Defeat 3xx and Login" cURL:

/path/to/curl --location --get -d "user=username&pass=password" http://www.application.com

If you want/need me to take a look, I'd be happy to help.

Ah, I remember that one now (Elliot's, not ReBlog). It uses the older versions Magpie and FeedWordPress in a funky to kludge stuff into WordPress. I actually tried it out a while back, but found that I needed something a bit more robust. If all you're doing is sucking feeds in and spitting them out, it's not a bad hack at all.

It's all good. You could say I have some *cough* experience in this area.
