can someone recommend a good shopping cart?

Hello,

My wife is looking for a shopping cart solution to integrate into her site. She has a clothing line and wants to sell her stuff on her site.

Can anyone recommend a good pre-built cart? is there one that is more popular than others?

Thanks in advance,
M

Best commercial one: X-Cart
Best open source one: Zen Cart

The most popular cart is OsCommerce, however the code is crappy as hell and it has tons of security leaks so don't touch that.

I would probably pick x-cart and get a designer/coder to modify it look like the shopping cart was custom built for the company, there are too many sites out there that look like each other which makes them lose credibility. If you need help in that area feel free to contact me.

these are standard issue, sturdy cards with rubber bumpers for protection:

I see you're buying tampons! Might I also reccommend:

* Two Awful, Slow Drama Movies to Cry Over
* 4 pints of Dove Chocolate Ice Cream
* 8 different friends on speed dial to taunt until they 'have to go,' or block your number

Check out oscommerce, it's actually the most used cart on the web.

Just a heads up. Zencart is in fact Oscommerce based. The original source code is the same, just modified in the Zencart version. The worst Ive used is the Cre Loaded version of oscommerce blah... Zencart is slimmed down and the extras they include all work nicely! :thumbsup
