IE 7 text question what to do?

Multimedia
Always use clear type for HTML*

This item is by default checked in IE7 is there anyway around it cause although it may be nice I don't like it making the font bigger on my web sites. I wish this option was not on by default.

Anyone know what I am talking about?

Yeap. on by default. The font does look much clearer, I know i adapted real quick and Im using it on my PCs. If it does affect the viewing of your site, you might want to tweak the size using CSS. I believe ppl will keep this new default.

BTW, if youre referring to the website on your sig, it looks better with Cleartype on, IMO.

ClearType makes for very nice text, especially on high-rez LCDs

It shouldn't be making your fonts appear any larger, however.

Font size can be set in the browser; did you have your old browser set at a non-default text size and now the default size is being displayed?

does this help:
Open the browser -> tools -> internet options -> on the Advanced tab scroll down to the Multimedia setion -> deselect "always use ClearType for HTML" (top item)

I turned it off, made the fonts look shitty over here.

Thanks everyone it seems that some fonts are changed more than others and I was using a crazy one. After changing back to a new more normal font it looks like everything is ok :winkwink:
