International stray animal rescue?
Yesterday, my boyfriend and I hit a couple bars and met a little stray dog that we fell in love with. My boyfriend is semi-allergic, so this little short haired thing is perfect for us - and not too small like a rat-dog. We feed all the strays we find around here, but this one made us really want to take her home. We decided that if we woke up sober and still wanted her, we would make an effort to take her back with us.
I don't know the policies at all on stray animal rescue internationally. I feel it would be selfish to pick up this dog and feed her during our time here, only to release her back to the streets when we're gone.
Googling, all I found was "ask your consulate". There are a lot of freaking people on GFY - one of you must have an idea of how this works before we get started.
