I just got this email today:

"The pictures contained on that site http://www.*******

are illegal. The girls in those pictures have not given permission.

I am private Investigator Beddingfield from Pittsburgh PA. There is a full report being done. You will recieve a copy of it including the court date you are to appear in court.

You will need to remove these pictures and provide the source of them.

This can be easily solved. Or it can be done the hard way.

If you provide us with the source and any contact info you have for him The charges will be dropped.

We already know his name due to it being the Ex Boyfriend of the one girl.

We expect Your cooperation in this matter.

I've gotten weird emails before. When I would reply to them and ask more questions it would turn out that the person threatening was just some loser trying to see if he could push me around, scare me etc... After 2 or 3 emails and it being obvious there were holes in his story he'd go away.

Believe it or not, I have a background in law enforcement (retired PD) and investigation. First off, this guy is full of shit, the email is meant to intimidate you into taking it down and is pure nonsense. If you do in fact have legally obtained the pics, or have legal jurisdiction over them (the ex-boyfriend took the pics and gave you permission), I'd tell him to fuck off...if you do not, then I would take em down. In either case just make sure that you are 2257 compliant to the "T".

On one hand you have to be strict about not taking pics down when asked, or every model who regrets what she did will be asking for her pics to taken down (a big no-no in this biz), but on the other hand you have to protect yourself from legal remedy and just flat out aggravation that may not be worth it.

guarantee'd this is fake drama from someone who wishes to intimidate you. Simply ask for proof of his status reminding him that it is illegal to pretend your a cop - you want badge - ID - his office number etc. and you will contact him. a simple threat is BS.

Or you can simply send him your lawyers contact info and ask that he speaks directly to your lawyer so that a record can be kept. BUT DONT BE INTIMIDATED unless he can prove who he says he is - badge, ID, case number, file number, his unit, office etc. see how fast he runs away when you ask for specifics

OH and btw - YOU CAN'T BE GOING TO COURT IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN CHARGED FOR ANYTHING @!!!

I just got another email from him:

"I apologize for the "threats". But as in my line of work, i have to be very clear when explaining the importance of an issues penalty. The pictures were taken mid 2004 by a man whom i can not disclose name. The reason i was asked to look into this is because the femals did not know how to go about this. The way we found out is quit an amazing thing. The female has moved half across the country, and has since become a christian which is one of the reasons she was so upset about the pics online. A friend of hers in her church has a GMAIL account and recieved "spam" and he normally doesnt, so he opened it, and there she was in the pics. Maybe this was God's way of giving her a chance to have it removed. And also "Be sure your sins will find you out".

Thank you for your willingness to help. Also, you may want to do a bit more of a screening for your pictures because you could ed up being sued someday by someone who decides to not email you first!
