My new toy pics inside

06 Mustang GT 5 speed

Factory engine was 300 HP rear wheel dyno at 6500RPM got us 253 HP at the rear wheels. Put a Vortech supercharger and Flowmaster pipes on dyno got us 383 HP at the rear wheels. It's in the shop right now getting a smaller pully put on, I expect this to give me 50 to 60 more horses at the rear wheels for a total of about 430. Engine I would estimate will put out about 575 hp. Changed the rear end to 3:90. Gonna run her at the track this next weekend, I expect low 12s maybe high 11s if I put some nittos on the rear. Not planning on doing any exterior mods, I like the sleeper look. However when I pull up to a red light the whine of the supercharger kinda gives it away. LOL. What do you guys think?

sltr 11-27-2006 07:37 AM

that's a sweet setup, i did not know u get get an additional 50-60 hp by changing the pulley

Choker 11-27-2006 07:38 AM

I love the yellow. I actually had to downgrade the interior as I wanted all black. Didn't want that chrome dash.

Putting a smaller pully on the supercharger will increase the PSI from 7 to about 12, so basically the supercharger will run at higher rpms, forcing more air/fuel into the engine. The supercharger is rated at 80,000 RPMS. It can handle up to 17PSI. We also put a 96psi fuel injector, Cobra fuel injectors on it also. Tuning it while on the dyno lets you squeeze every single hp out of the engine also.

Super charging is great... I am looking for a TwinTurbo Kit for my car..

Hard to say. I paid 31k for it, put about $8000 in the engine. This supercharger is a brand new model, I think I was like the 5th person to buy 1. I should be able to get 50k for it if I sold it. The gt500 has only 500hp in the engine, and it sells for like 70k. Sharper car I know, but not as fast as this one.

Central Florida Turbo on goldenrod near the 408. They did the dyno and tuning for me. They make the best turbos around. They made a huge turbo for a gt mustang, ending up getting 1500hp out of it. The turbo is so fucking big it needs a shot of nitros just to get it turning. LOL.

Nice ride, let me know what you pull at the track. Please take some video if you have the chance. I would love to hear the idle and the whine of the SC'er

nice, thx for that info.
i drive a 2006 ford f150 with the 5.4 v8, roush makes a supercharger for it that does not void the factory warranty and adds ~150hp, i've been wanting to get it for a couple months now:thumbsup

Rochard 11-27-2006 08:25 AM

Very nice!

DutchTeenCash 11-27-2006 08:29 AM

nice bet that supercharger gives a nice boost :thumbsup

Gary_TLX 11-27-2006 08:29 AM

Cool ride and it must be hella fast too. I don't like the interior much, it's too American for my taste, but still a very nice car. Congrats!

E$_manager 11-27-2006 08:36 AM

Yellow is a very cheerful color :)

LOL, it does turn heads. You know I like the 06 yellow much better than previous years yellow, it's called screamer yellow

marumari 11-27-2006 08:47 AM

marketsmart 11-27-2006 08:48 AM

that looks really good :thumbsup

georgeyw 11-27-2006 08:50 AM

Very nice choker - good to see people spending up on forced induction :)

Just one thing, have you thought about changing the intake? That one looks really really restrictive. Looks asthough the moulded pipe is smaller than the intake of the s/c?

reynold 11-27-2006 08:53 AM

Cool! I wish I could also ride on that someday, pal.

Pilforgod 11-27-2006 09:15 AM

Biggest problem with the 06 is that it is a new engine, and very few parts are available. No intakes, not even a oversized cam that works yet. The experts tell me this block can handle no more than 700 with forged pistons, which it does not have. I think I am at the max hp without making serious mods to the engine.

suicidemessiah 11-27-2006 09:40 AM

That car is just powerfull :thumbsup

93sc 11-27-2006 12:21 PM

Love the car man, nice job. What have you done to the bottom end? If nothing you should be warned that with that paticular block, no one likes pushing them much past 400rwhp (and thats a general number, I'll ask aorund just to make sure that nothing has changed in the last year or two). Also, you might want to consider getting an ACT gauge if you plan on beating on it in the summer. I see you got the IC there, but 12 pounds of boost can lead to bad things if it gets too warm. Like I said, I love the car, and what you've done to it, I would just hate to see you grenade the bottom end.

Mr. Romance 11-27-2006 12:24 PM

congrats...its pimp love the yellow:thumbsup
