Some on this board are becoming to damn oversensitive for fuck sakes

was intended as an obvious joke, to insite humor and nothing more. I would think that was obvious or at least hope it was, and those who quoted it and indicated laughter tend to back up my position that it is (obvious).

But then someone from here ICQ's me all pissed and complaining about it, speaking of "true colors" and calling me names.... over a joke picture of all things.

Unreal.


So I post the following apology if only for the sake of appeasing the red-faced anger this person is obviously experiencing... over a joke.


Must go watch football now, and try to get over the shock of finding out that some on this board have become so ensconced in board drama they've become hypersensitive to any little perceived slieght, even when the humor of it is screaming loud and clear to everyone else.

Time to maybe take a step back from the boards and go reconnect with your sense of humor? I don't know, just a thought.

Franck cries real tears over this board every day.

Franck posts as if he's all bent out of shape, but I wouldn't put too much stock in that. He's been around here a long time, long enough to be sitting behind his computer screen actually laughing when everyone else thinks he's throwing a hissy fit.

And I know the feeling. I find my sometimes odd brand of humor to be often misconstrued for anger or insults where there really is nothing but joking or straightforward pointed commentary for the purpose of conversation and nothing more.

Case in point -- this thread.

yeah theres quite a few that need a break from gfy. they can't interpret text and take things out of perspectives that they were intended to be seen in.

Yes. The "for fuck sakes" is definitely needed.

When you have some irate oversensitive person on ICQ who obviously took something innocent completely out of context calling you "Dipshit" and talking about "true colors" all the while showing their own, it becomes painfully obvious that a few choice words are needed to drive the point home.
