I have a fish in my desk but it lives in a small container. The water is just fresh water. You call it fighting fish that's why it should be placed alone in an aquarium. doesn't need oxygen too! :thumbsup easy to keep :winkwink:

who has a picture of his piranha?

sniperwolf 11-26-2006 08:54 PM

We used to have one.. an electric eel and that flower horn... .. it's really relaxing to have a fish tank at home

BradM 11-26-2006 08:55 PM

Betas are pretty boring. I have had a lot over the years. My best lasted 4.5 years, twice the expected lifespan. I have 2 right now, they don't do anything exciting.

I have a 10 gal right now with guppies. Nothing exciting.
I've had 50 gals... expensive at times. A fucking bitch to clean and maintain.

100 gal... forget it count me out. It would take so long to cycle and would be a nightmare to maintain so you don't kill fish twice a month.

shekinah 11-26-2006 09:12 PM

We don't have any fish left because I ate them all last night.. :) joke, we have cattle fish near our place, it's so disgusting..

Kimo 11-26-2006 09:18 PM

reynold 11-27-2006 08:03 AM

E$_manager 11-27-2006 12:30 PM

Psycho_x 11-27-2006 12:33 PM

I had shrimp earlier, does that count as fish?

AssPirate 11-27-2006 12:37 PM

No oxygen? Is that fish undead?

marketsmart 11-27-2006 12:38 PM

Violetta 11-27-2006 01:21 PM

tehHinjew 11-27-2006 01:24 PM

seems like they are OK, even without water....

fudpuck 11-27-2006 01:46 PM

Most recently I had 3 big pirahnas. One of them met it's end when I was on vacation, then the other two came down with some sickness from a bunch of feeder fish.

I'm done with fish for a few years. haha...

Matt 26z 11-27-2006 02:13 PM

I have a 75 gallon. It has 3 blue Neons, 2 black Neons and a Chinese Algae Eater.

Quagmire 11-27-2006 02:42 PM

I have one retarded fish that keeps eating every other one in the tank. She has the whole 75 gallon tank to herself. Every now and then I will throw in some feeders, but mostly she eats flakes.

I've had this saltwater tank running non stop for eleven years. Right now I have a 14" eel that lives in a PVC pipe that I put under the gravel with each end coming out of a cluster of barnacles. He sits in the pipe with his head poking out and most people don't even notice him until I point him out or he comes out to eat.

Big Red Machine 11-27-2006 08:01 PM

I just went to a fish store the other day ,its amazing what you can do now. With all the live plants. I have a 30 gal hex going just a few neons and a Betta right now.

chodadog 11-27-2006 09:48 PM

I used to have a tank of African Cichlids. A particularly impressive breeding pair of electric yellows. I really want to get back into it with a larger tank. I'm tempted to go marine, though. But it seems like a lot more work.

There is a lot to learn about keeping a saltwater aquarium but once you get it right there really isn't that much work involved. All I do is give the tank a good cleaning and water change about every six weeks and of course feed the fish. Not much else to do but check the water quality and enjoy the view.

Furious_Female 11-28-2006 12:06 AM

I haven't had a fish in years. I'd love to have a huge tank... we have 7 cats though :uhoh

I have a 125gallon tank fresh water, pretty nice setup. might switchover to salt-water soon,..however if im not around to watch it, and power fails, could overflow.
