Firefox 2 crashes a lot

Anyone else having this problem?

Horny Dude 11-26-2006 12:35 PM

I will get this survey BS every once in awhile that will crash FF, but other then that I have no problems.

martinsc 11-26-2006 12:39 PM

ff2 works great for me...

StuartD 11-26-2006 12:44 PM

Hasn't crashed for me once.

baddog 11-26-2006 12:45 PM

goodgirl said it crashed about 20 times on her before she went back to 1.5

Rui 11-26-2006 12:47 PM

Might as well see if your computer is 100% stable...lots of work hours here and no crash whatsoever

Vitasoy 11-26-2006 01:30 PM

Good thing I have not upgrade yet, that and I'm waiting for most of the extensions to update.

viva celebs 11-26-2006 01:32 PM

mine is fine

DaddyHalbucks 11-26-2006 01:33 PM

Dunno, I use the new IE.

Gary_TLX 11-26-2006 01:47 PM

Nope, no crashes at all yet. :)

cheekycherry 11-26-2006 01:49 PM

Crashes and other problems... It's a piece of shit IMO and so is IE7.

I'm using the old Firefox.

CyberHustler 11-26-2006 01:49 PM

:thumbsup
Nothing worse than upgrading and finding out that your extensions don't work.
It makes it more of a downgrade.

jacklaidlaw 11-26-2006 02:00 PM

crashes or slows down sometimes when on flash sites

madawgz 11-26-2006 02:02 PM

i just got firefox 2 today...hope it doesnt crash...

Babaganoosh 11-26-2006 02:03 PM

Hasn't crashed on me yet. IE7 crashes constantly. Well, it doesn't crash as much as it just hangs indefinitely.

TexasDreams 11-26-2006 02:06 PM

Haven't had a single crash with Firefox 2, and that's on 3 different computers. :)

The Sultan Of Smut 11-26-2006 02:07 PM

FF2 has never crashed on me and it's by far the most stable version I've used :)

Aquarius 11-26-2006 02:15 PM

It has been working all right here.

J.P. 11-26-2006 02:52 PM

not crashing for me... I'm using it on a Mac... it really does not perform very well in tight memory situations, but neither 1.5 did not...

SmokeyTheBear 11-26-2006 02:56 PM

firefox def stole microcrap's ideas for this version..

In the old firefox it crashed/locked up too but many times people wouldnt notice because it happened silently.. on the old firefox i would often check my running processes and notice firefox still running even though it wasnt open ( silent crash eating ram ) but now they use the same idea as microsoft and tell you it crashed.. so it seems like it happens more..

For all the glory firefox users praise ff with it certainly doesnt stand up to expectations in real life scenario's.. When i got firefox 2.0 i went to a few sites surfed around and crash , within a few minutes its down.. ie7 hasnt crashed yet.. cant really say much more about that . firefox 2.0 crashes often ie7 doesnt. ( for me anyways )

LilBro 11-26-2006 03:00 PM

now that i got my macbook i have been using safari for 3 days and not 1 crash....(KNOCKING ON WOOD)

FF2 crashes atleast once a day on my toshiba....never had a problem b4 with FF till i upgraded....

tony286 11-26-2006 03:02 PM

check your extensions and do you have the google toolbar. It caused lots of crashes for me

marko13 11-26-2006 03:15 PM

it crashed only once for one month using....

TheDoc 11-26-2006 03:36 PM

I removed all plugins and 1.5 before installing 2.0, I ran it for a few days with no issues..

After I added in script, ie tab, tags, validators and ff toolbar, it started to crash. Slowly the addons have been updating. And when it crashes you can restore the ssion, so it isn't a big deal, it's just annoying.

collegeboobies 11-26-2006 03:49 PM

I have had the problem of FF2 running silently after crashing, have 4 instances of it running at once. FF2 crashes every 30 minutes. On two different PCs of mine. Just installed it on this brand new laptop and its crashing constantly.

teg0 11-26-2006 03:54 PM

it doesn't ever crash on me, but I do notice it using an insame amount of RAM now and then.

collegeboobies 11-26-2006 08:21 PM

I went back to 1.5 and wont change again, really see no reason to

Nookster 11-26-2006 08:30 PM

No crash yet and I leave this comp on and use ff 24/7. ff2 btw. :2 cents:

CynthiaB 11-26-2006 08:46 PM

I have that problem of silent crashing as someone above called it. It says it's still running when it isn't if I open the task manager. The only way around it is to reboot and that's a pain. Didn't notice this before I upgraded.

Greg MissionD 11-26-2006 08:51 PM

Never had it crash once, but sometimes when loading a PHP page it pops up a window to save it rather than just load it and that is a bit annoying.

Kimo 11-26-2006 08:51 PM

works fine for me other then the fact i cant check my ccbill stats in firefox anymore which is pissing me the fuck off

shekinah 11-26-2006 09:18 PM

MattOT 11-27-2006 05:18 AM
