If you saw it on google/AdSense/AdWords... they now(FINALLY) have a defition linked to it on your reports.

On Google it indicates the cost effectiveness of an ad campaign.

It is the calculation of profit - per money spent on adwords

hah u learn something new everyday.. i didnt know thats why either. ( knew it was a roman numeral but didnt know its why cpm meant tha )t . i always thought that moniker was confusing.

"mil" means thousand so cpm=cost per mil
