MIVA - Most worthless se traffic EVER!!!
According to miva I had 202 clicks one day, so I checked my server stats and guess what 37 visits...WTF!!! I need to contact them about this pure bullshit! Is this click fraud or can someone suggest what to do? According to lobby about 40 clicks, but in report manager 202...also one day 5 clicks next day 40, next 0, next 40 ehhh?
I tried overture before with the same ads and the traffic was pure GOLD, but they stopped my ad because they do not allow gambling :( |
Thanks for the heads up. I was about to give them a try and now I'll pass, unless I hear from others that they've had a positive experience.
You just saved me some money. :thumbsup |
Take a look at the bids going around Miva, there's a reason they're only hovering at the minimum... :)

lesson here...
there are no cheap traffic shortcuts.. |
SE Traffic takes time and is extremely difficult...:(
|
so is this click fraud or did miva just fuck up in the admin?
Also with overture, is it impossible to send temp login to pornsite when I submit the site? I don't see any fields to fill in the info. Now I have to do it separate after each submit and it's a pain in the ass :( |

For overture, you need to submit a password each time, either via the contact us form or you can wait until they contact you. WG |
Any of the 2nd and 3rd tier PPC engines are riddled with bad traffic and click fraud. They don't have the traffic that others have, so they have to take on some very shady partners.
But still, with PPC, you can't just look at it as finding the fraud. You have to look at it from an ROI perspective. If you are paying $1.00 on Yahoo and $0.10 on MIVA, and the MIVA traffic is 80% shit, you're still not getting a bad deal out of it. Test it out and see what your ROI is. |

Generally I don't bother with the PPC search engines.
The top tier players are expensive --and it is very hard to get approved, even for clear perfect matches between purchased keywords and advertised sites. There is no appeal. The second and third tier engines have crappy traffic. So, either way, you lose. |
thanks guys :thumbsup
spasmo, glad I could help :) |
Miva aka Findwhat has the most worthless "se" traffic.
It's pure hitbot these days, absolute fraud. Goclick, Miva and Kanoodle - AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. All deposits are just donations to their company, basically. |

With 3rd tier ppc you also get many of the search portals that get advertised via pay per read email programs. And don't forget click bots and clickers for hire. Worthless traffic and a total waste of money. Overture is no stranger to this behavior either... and their clicks cost a LOT more money. With ANY ppc, including Google Adwords, always keep a close eye on your stats and/or weblogs. If you use more than one ppc, check them all for the same IP's or sources around the same times. That's how many of them are caught, although far from being the only way. As for adware/spyware sources you'll more than likely find abcsearch, quickbrowsersearch, look2me, mygeek, zango, coolwebsearch and many others. All adware/spyware sources or traffic providers to adware, all worthless. That's why it's very dangerous for those who have zango on their computers and get popups on various sites to jump to conclusions. It may not necessarily be an affiliate or sponsor using zango, it could be a ppc ad and they don't even know that their ad is being shown that way. Missie |

you could ask them to do a "traffic review" and in a few days they'll get back to you and refund any amount they feel was click-fraud. i doubt they'll return a penny though.

100% correct, and to think I've tried them in other industries as well with the same results. I can't believe they still operate, they are horrible. I deposited $500 and had it depleted in less than 12 hours with 0 sales. I checked my stats, over 75% of the traffic wasn't even real, tons of ips in the same ranges, obvious click bot traffic. |
