My Other Passion :::

Even before I thought about being a Photographer, I had a passion for music! I put it on the backburner years and years ago to focus all my time, energy and resources into Photography... but lately I've had the itch to play around with it a bit. I bought a couple of guitars, a bass, a drum machine and some recording gear this past month and today was the first day that I've had a chance to break some of that stuff out of the box. I've spent all day figuring out how to record to my computer and about 2 hours ago I finally got it all figured out. I programmed a drum track and recorded a bass track, a few rhythm guitars and a lead and here's what I came up with. Nothing special but it sure was fun figuring it all out and I just thought I'd share :winkwink:

I listened to the entire thing...that says something...I get bored extremely fast :) Sort of reminded me of the old days and a former life :)

well when you are ready to retire from photography and need an apprentice to take over all your photography, let me know. Then you can practice your other passion.

I'm using a Line6 PodXT for my guitars and a Bass Pod for the bass. I Also have a Roland Boss DR-880 drum machine (although the drums on this track were some random loops put together with Acid Pro 6). Everything is plugged into a Tascam US-144 and from there goes via USB right into my computer. I'm recording with Acid Pro 6 (which utilized multi-track recording). Just a basic setup but took hours to figure it all out because I have no idea what I'm doing :1orglaugh
