So my dad told me to read the book. I saw the Documentary instead.

These fuckin guys manipulated energy prices soo bad it is isn't even funny.

They have taped conversations of Enron Energy Brokers phoning the power plants in California and telling the power guys to shut the plants down.
Then the brokers would laugh as they started spiking the prices.

Electricty that goes for $30 megawatt/h would go to $1k.
They are fucking laughing the entire time.

They caused rolling blackouts in January so they could raise some revenue for their Quarter report.
Not only that but Enron really made No money the entire time it was in existence they played with the accounting so they were valuing what power was 10 and 20 years down the road and reporting the profits that day.

The Craziest thing about all of this is after watching this movie you get the feeling that is exactly what they are doing with Oil.

These people fucked with over 300 million people in the United States and Skilling got less then 20 years. plus they went and hid all their money...fuck what a joke. I guess it is kinda funny.

its a good movie. Makes you pissed at what they did to everyone, customers, their employees and shareholders. What amazed me the most is the arrogance of these guys. They have 100's of millions stashed away and they know they are being investigated, yet they stick around because they think they buy their way out of it. If it were me I would have flown my ass somewhere where they wouldn't extradite me.

im going to have to check out the movie, its a shame what they did to the american public :(

Dude it is unbelievable what they actually pulled off.

Threatening Grey Davis with the power issue and giving him an ultimatum and then turning off the power to half of the state. They basically sat down with Schwarzenegger and came up with plan to oust Davis.

the shocking part is yeah they basically still have all the money. What a fuckin joke. they just say to the news we are broke and everybody believes them...lol there is no fuckin possible way to spend 300 million and have nothing to show for it..

I don't understand why Ken Lay's family gets to keep all the money he stole. Even after his death they should have proceeded on with everything.

What the 1 million they say they have now?

They asked his wife on NBC what happened to the money and she just looked at her and non chalantly said "the 300 million is gone..I don't know where it went" lol

The best guy in the film and the whole enron thing was Lou Pai...the asian dude.

Fuck that guy was smart. He loved Strippers soo much he resigned from Enron cashed in $250 million worth of stock, divorced his wife and married some stripper and then went to Colorado and is now the second biggest land owner in the USA. He got away scott free...lol
