When CCBILL starts to accept payments in Euro?

I believe many europen webmasters wish this and of course, being paid in EUROS .
cheers!

baddog 11-24-2006 04:36 PM

what does ccbill eu pay in?

Dirty Dane 11-24-2006 04:38 PM

I dont think it really matters in sales. The cheaper dollar, the more signups from EU, so the loss in exchanging will be complemented by the market.

Dollars, and it also charges customers by dollars.
You can't even charge euros if you wanted..and here's a reply from CCBill from when I asked this very same question:

Yeah, or not.. Cheaper sites don't equal more sales.

Canīt you setup EU billing and charge in Euros at least for this option? I had a look at the admin area and if Iīm not wrong it works in Euros.

Calvinguy 11-25-2006 01:46 AM

I only bill in euro and there is no difference in sales compared to the time I used third party USD billing

Iīll talk to my programmer and let you know on monday.

Dveron 11-25-2006 04:40 AM

German and Austrian people can now signup to CCbill sites via EU-Debit. I've had it on my sites for a month or 2 now. Apparently its going to get rolled out to other countries soon.

Phoenix 11-25-2006 05:11 AM

if you micro target each country wiht their preferred currency..im sure it will help sales

great news :)

BoneJack 11-25-2006 05:47 AM

The CCBill EU-Debit billing option was announced on 2006-08-02. For those of you that missed the announcement on the home page after you logged into the web admin you can find it if you click on news archives on the home page and run a search covering that date.

Jakke PNG 11-25-2006 05:51 AM

Blah for the debit. It's ok, but I want to charge CC's in euros. :(

djroof 11-25-2006 05:54 AM

this would be great!

4Man 11-25-2006 06:19 AM

It shure good

Doctor Dre 11-25-2006 06:25 AM

What difference would it make ? Sites charging 30 euros instead of 30 bucks would loose all their american traffic.

Americans won't pay in euro. You know that and I know that.

Probably because the average american is too stupid to know the difference between a euro symbol and a dollar symbol.. :2 cents:

But, the dollar has been around for a very ling time, wheras the Euro has only been around since 1999. Putting all your faith in a currency that's barely 7 years old is pretty dumb. :2 cents:

CCBill does not offer this facility, but a few others have an option of using the "money basket" and signup pages in dollars, euros, GBP. Been using this for a few years now and agree, there is no detrimental difference in sales.

Reminds me.. the dollar sign up pages need to be increased in value to reflect the recent lowering of the dollar :)

okdesign 11-26-2006 03:29 AM

Great idea! :thumbsup

True, but it wouldn't be a horribly hard thing to do (I think) to have a fixed price in euro, and show the USD price for americans, much like language-based sign-up forms.

Ie. I set the monthly fee to 24.95 euros per month. Europeans see that.
On north-american joinforms there'd be a price 32.65 USD per month.

So the actual price would be the same, but the method of displaying changes. I believe epoch(?) does this. I've seen it on some joinpages, maybe topbucks..not sure.

How is chargeback and fraud? Acceptable levels or is it higher than normal?

Being a cam site with high studio payouts I like to hear what others think before jumping in. Saw the product release and very interested.

corvette 11-26-2006 04:16 PM

Tgf, please forward that email over to me, we should see what happened there, [email protected]. Thanks in advance

I think that we are very close to releasing that feature, I know that we were having at least one client beta it, I can check to see if we need any more beta testers and if so, if you are a good candidate. Let me know, email address above

nekrom 11-26-2006 04:47 PM

I've been pushing paysites that bill only in Euro's for yonks. On the join page the Euro amount is translated into the rough current USD equivalent. I've been billing American surfers with no probs or CB issues.

CCBILL paying to EU webmasters in USD means:
-being ripped by most european banks that make a disadvantage currency rate euro/dollar:
-Being charged by banks for many stupid commisions;
-webmasters supporting the risk of dollar dropping - less revenue;

Radiate 11-28-2006 11:22 AM

For sure I'd like to see payments in other currencies

ForteCash 11-28-2006 11:50 AM

Getting paid in other currencies really doesnt make any sense, you would just get paid lesser amounts in a diff currency. You can always raise your prices if you want..

I hope you're not serious.

sigurman 12-04-2006 06:37 PM

I am sure you are not european, that's why you are saying that.
Receiving in EUROS for european webmasters makes all the difference.
I just hope Ccbill EU starts thinking in this :)

Klen 12-10-2006 06:34 AM

That banks realy are thiefs.Last time when i convert from USD to my local currency i lost a lot beacuse they give me lowest possible ratio.

its the same as US joins, it just looks a bit weird in the admin cause since the Euro-US$ changes the signup price changes. We just made the 29.95 us$ 29.95 Euro as well to cover costs and fees (cb fees are higher)

So its worth it imho. Plus more countries will join lateron Im sure, now its germany and austria.
