question on offering promotions to surfers....
 

H all,

we are getting ready to launch a christmas promotion to all of our surfers on our free sites. we will be giving away tons of prizes and cash to surfers and i was told that i could not do this??

I do not trust the person who told me this, and want your opinions....

Is it ok to offer prizes and cash to website surfers if they join sites through my sites??

You can give away anything you want for free.. I'd suggest writing up some regulations etc. Chances of odds and other info that they frequently do for other contests.

You can't offer any incentive to surfers in exchange for joining a paysite under your affiliate refcode, this is ground for account termination ...
And if you don't offer surfers prizes for encouraging them to signup, why would you give them prizes?
So, you can't do that, otherwise you'd see many webmasters offering this on their sites ...

You might be okay given the situation. Contact your sponsors directly and get their approval first.

Well i posted this question in the fucking around thread and got a lot of positive response and a shitload of sponsors who want to take part in my promotion, so i guess it is ok with some of them. I am currently working all the details out, so if any more sponsors want to jump on board, let me know so i can go get signed up on your programs, please make sure you let me know the conditions you would like me to follow.
