Ships run aground at the Panama Canal

Three ships have run aground at the mouth of the Panama Canal because of an unusually high storm surge. I live on the opposite side, in Panama City. But this is the big talk of the day down here in Noriegaville.

Check out the pics -

See what happens when I get the translated version of the news?

Big time luck on your journey. I know it's not going to be easy. Hit me up online later today, I'll ask Maru if she wants to go and maybe we'll come with you. Humanitarian stuff is good for the soul.

DWB 11-24-2006 01:53 PM

Ouch.

Somehow, someway, the USA will use this as an excuse to skyrocket the cost of oil. ;-)

fuzebox 11-24-2006 01:57 PM

Holy shit...

So how exactly do they solve this? Will the water level rise back up again naturally?
