POST-HYPE!

Only one person I knew even got to click to get the deal by using the https method. He had to answer a simple math question, after he did it went immediately to another page that said 'sold out blah blah blah'. I had 8 computers setup, didn't know about the https at the time, and none of my 8 would load the page at about 30 seconds before 11am pst. Couldn't load amazon until about 5-10 minutes afterwards...
