hey smart people! .htaccess/hitbot question
 

Ok, I just caught a fuckup hitbotting a site of mine (dipshit brought the same fucking proxy in with different browser languages within 10 seconds) So I went ahead and started redirecting his hitbot traffic right back to his ass thru htaccess.

Now, after I thought about this for a couple seconds I'm just wondering if the hitbot is going to get redirected with my site as a referer and start clicking around his site making him think im sending all this productive traffic?

Not that I care but it would bring a smile to my face thinking theres a chance this cocksucker will see that and turn up the hitbot even more, only to get more returned, and turn up the hitbot more...endless pointless cycle.. lol

It depends on how you're doing the redirect. If it's via the browser then, yes, it will have your site as the referrer.

As a test you can throw your own IP into .htaccess and redirect to one of your own sites and grep the logs.
