Wiis = in demand?

My friend has 2000/7000 units at his store still.
I thought these things would be in high demand.

TG Rebecca 11-22-2006 01:26 AM

they were sure all gone on launch day around here, waiting for some more shipments and hope i can get luck and find one..

Alky 11-22-2006 01:27 AM

2000-7000 units? what the fuck does he own? amazon?

Bozena X 11-22-2006 01:27 AM

yes definitely, maybe not in his store area but if you check on ebay they are going for 400-500 bucks for the system and a game.

JD 11-22-2006 01:28 AM

I'll buy 1 from him if he's willing to give me a hookup price :)

2k left out of 7k -
He works @ the toysrus in timesquare (where the unit was launched)

Nookster 11-22-2006 01:42 AM

It's in demand here in southern california...as all retailers are sold out. They could go for as much as $500. :2 cents:

emthree 11-22-2006 01:45 AM

I'll let you guys know if we decide to buy units for resale. I doubt it though, it's too much of a hassle to deal with for only couple hundred in profit. If you're in timesquare go scoop one.

Sarah_Jayne 11-22-2006 01:58 AM

I will get mine when it is used on ebay.

Splum 11-22-2006 03:18 AM

They are all sold out pretty much across the midwest

rounders 11-22-2006 03:39 AM

They are all sold out online also from the places that i know.

Pimpin_J 11-22-2006 03:53 AM

Totally missed those Wii´s. Are there any good games out or launching in the near future?

Wiis are dropping fast in price, but profit per one is still 80-100 bucks atm. You just have to make one eBay template, then click one button to list more like it... for 80 bucks a pop it's worth doing. Just make sure to get the dimensions beforehand ready and have S&H mats good to go, you'll spend about 5-10 minutes packing up each unit. With customer pickup mail services (like click n’ ship from USPS) you won't even have to drive them to your local PO.

He is not trying very hard. They are sold out across the US as afar as I can tell. He should let his friends and family know. People will pick them up to flip and to mail to friends.

Most stores are already restocked with wiis they are waiting til black friday to let them out of the stock room. Just a few more days and there will be plenty of them.

en21 11-22-2006 05:14 AM

I think PS3 will do much better than Wii

More Booze 11-22-2006 05:25 AM

I'll wait until I can order a chipped one. ;)

LadyMischief 11-22-2006 06:51 AM

Most idiots couldn't afford one after they sold their souls for a PS3. They'd have been better off with the Wii.

I've been looking with no luck thus far. Alas, Times Square is a bit of a commute for me.
