"Barely legal" "18th birthday" etc

I just came across some sites that are owned by some rather reputable programs, where the selling point is the idea of "barely legal" and "it's her 18th birthday" etc. While one could argue that 2257 is most likely (goddamn let's hope) in order for these particular sites and that 18th birthday constitutes at least in most states legal age for performing, is there any risk involved when taking into consideration the idea of "depiction" and "perception"? This is the same type of gray area that lives within the toon crowd also where some legal gray areas come into play. Does anyone see anything wrong or risky with promoting such a site? Just looking for some feedback, I myself tend to stray from sites containing "barely legal" and playing the idea that the model was under 18 recently prior to shooting possibly, etc.

It's good to see the same old tired arguments are still being posted here. People know exactly what they are doing when it comes to using certain terms, it's not rocket science. Do you think a photographer doesn't know what he/she is doing when they put a young looking girl in a room with barbie dolls, teddy bears, and dress them in little girl clothes?

Well I may stay away from the phrase "barely legal" since I am pretty sure that may be a trademarked term.

2257 concerns should be worried about, but with everyone and not just the just turned 18 market.

Perception can be an issue of course. You know how obscenity works and all right? You are in a business that you do not know if you broke any law until a jury tells you so.

I'm not against any legal term being used for any marketing purpose. 'Barely legal' still means the girl's of legal age. Sometimes you have to suspend disbelief to endulge in the fantsay.

It's a fantasy for entertainment.
