mecrs have been probs since they got with Chrysler . .until that time the cars were more hand made now they have all the same probs that 'assembly line ' cars have.

I have the sts v8, the 2005 model and have only had a few probs with the computer, after that was fixed, never had any more probs . . 24K miles . .

and besides who cares? they give me another if I need one while they work on that one. caddy has been very good to me . . this is my second one . . might get the xlrv next year. gonna drive one and see if it pumps hard like the vette . . the chevy dealer blows

Who cares? About 95% of the consumers care if their car breaks down. The number one thing owners want is reliability. What is the purpose of owning a car if you can't drive it and you take it into the shop once a month?

95% of peeps don't buy luxury :2 cents:

Psycho_x 11-21-2006 11:10 AM

Either Cadillac or BMW.Mercedes have constant problems and average life of a Jag is about 5 years unless it's pampered.

Theo 11-21-2006 11:27 AM

Large SUVs
Most reliable (Best score first)
Toyota Land Cruiser
Lexus LX
Toyota Sequoia
Chevrolet Tahoe*
GMC Yukon*

Least reliable (Worst score first)
Nissan Armada
Infiniti QX56
Lincoln Navigator
Hummer H2

Brad Gosse 11-21-2006 11:31 AM

My last car was an E class Mercedes. Not sure I would ever buy another Mercedes.

Drake 11-21-2006 11:38 AM

It's strange because I always would have assumed one came with the other. Those who buy luxury would want reliability too. But I guess things don't always work out that way. Nothing worse than a car that won't start in the middle of winter, or shuts down at a busy intersection or has ongoing small issues.

Alex From San Diego 11-21-2006 11:42 AM

3 Mercedes (All S Class) and 1 BMW and never had one problem with any of them. Most relaible vehicles I have ever owned. The only American vehicle I own is a GMC Truck and is just as reliable.

starpimps 11-21-2006 11:46 AM

but benz has a great roadside service and extended warrenty for like 3 years
after that just sell the car and get a new benz

Quality and features for the price. BMW has them beat hands down. Not to mention my 525 is way more fun to drive.

BAKO 11-21-2006 12:40 PM

beats me, just would like a bigger motor than a 4.5 or 5.0. . the last 2 digits on the beemers are motor size . . the first digit is model . . I do like full size lux sedans

tehHinjew 11-21-2006 01:42 PM

ya i know that...
but
the newer 7's are designed by chris bangle
and that sucks ass because it doesnt have THAT german look

FreeHugeMovies 11-21-2006 02:31 PM

I personally am never going to be merc again either. Unless I can pay someone else to take it for repairs when it breaks down. I'm going to try to get a GS 350 and dump my CLK 500.

squishypimp 11-21-2006 02:33 PM

ive heard the BMW 7 Series had alot of issues when it first came out.

deniska 11-21-2006 02:35 PM

I have a cls amg model with 6k miles and I have not had any problems with my car..

Theo 11-21-2006 02:35 PM

yes,but that's common with all new series. Previous e-class models are very reliable, can't comment on the latest.

first off, these cnn most/least things are fuckin bullshit. With that said... lets take a look at the list above.

Most reliable: Tahoe, Yukon

Least Reliable: H2

How can one of 3 SUVs that are built on the same frame and share 90% of mechanical components make the "least" list and the two other siblings make the "most" list.

These things suck balls. I dont buy it. :2 cents:

BlackCrayon 11-21-2006 02:49 PM

that sucks, i was planning on buying the sts

schneemann 11-21-2006 02:52 PM
