Jerking off, I find, is more international. I'm an American living in the UK and my hubby didn't know what Jacking was at first. He could figure it out from context of course, but was more familiar with Jerking.

has anyone else ever heard joe pesci say "jag off"?

like in the movie casino, where the redneck won't take his feet off of the table in the casino. after he is thrown out, joe pesci hits him with the telephone and calls him a "jag off". i even checked it with the dvd subtitles. :)

i presume that "jag off" is the same as jerk/jack off.

jag-off is a east coast slang term for jerkoff
i only have heard it used in pittsburgh, philly, and new jersey

The "jack" in "jacking off" comes from the "jac" in "ejaculate," so I would imagine a girl can jerk off but not jack off. She can jerk all she wants, but only a rare few (the squirters) will e-jac(k)-ulate. When guys do it, they are quite the same thing, I suppose, as long as the guy gets "off."
