That's interesting for me also. I talked on icq with Mitch from Netbilling and he told me that downloadable content for webmasters is "high risk" and his banks don't accept that anymore.:(

Tell us it isn't so Mitch!

What is so high risk about the $10 billion adult industry?

We get the honor of paying rates 5 times higher than other merchants, only to be ripped off by iBill and other such companies who never get prosecuted by VISA?

iBill can't process our transactions anymore, as if they care, since they got to abscond with millions from people they were already making 12%+ from on every transaction, but since VISA got their cut up front from iBill, VISA doesn't do jack to help the webmasters ripped off by iBill.

In six plus years online I have never crossed the chargeback ratio that VISA and others set...I haven't even had the $750 "adult" IPSP fee set by VISA charged back, yet still we are treated like second class citizens, even though we have made VISA tons of bucks. What gives?

Meanwhile they open accounts for non-adult scam artists every day...

that's something i don't understand either. i can burn the content on DVD and send it - then it's no problem. although i have to send it from czech rep. and it takes a week to arrive (and can possibly get lost)

but when i give a webmaster his content as a download right after he paid it's suddenly high risk - what a bullshit

no one seems to understand the difference between a surfer that potentially does a chargeback for 29.95 and webmasters, that buy content for their business.

all you webmasters must be really dangerous and not trustable that everyone thinks that when you buy something it's a "high risk" :winkwink:

BUMP for processing!:thumbsup

NETbilling 11-20-2006 10:38 AM

Here is the deal. Shipped products including DVDs, toys ect, are not considered high risk by Visa. Unfortunately, if it is downloadable or streamed, it is considered videotext whcih is high risk. We can certainly process for that and do but the merchant banks require $50k minimum monthly volme to setup high risk merchant accounts. If you have that volume already, we can set you up. If not, start with CCbill or Paycom until you build the volume and then we can set you up and save you money.
For U.S., we can aslo do ACH with no merchant account required and no monthly minumum.

I've said it before, and will say it again.

9-10% on carts. Paid ACH/Check every two weeks. $50.00 minimum I believe. The stores are nothing fancy, but who cares. People are coming to buy your wares.
