the only thing that any linux distro could really use is probably directx compatibility.

microsoft have the majority of iser operating systems this is just away for them to really break into the server marketbut they don't have a chance

Fuck ASP.net. There is php (which sucks) and Ruby (which rocks) that works on Linux. What can ASP do that those cant?

There are plenty of options for people who want to use M$'s technology. The whole idea here is to make sure there are still a few options left on the table for those of us who DON'T want to use their SHIT.
