Need Gallery Pool System For GSS
 

Hi guys and gals I was wondering if you might be able to steer me in the right direction for this. We need to build a gallery pool system where we can list our client's galleries so that TGP owners can visit our site and harvest our galleries for their TGP. We were thinking of paying a programmer to build this system for us but I thought I would just ask quickly if someone knew a better way to do this?

just use a tgp script
password protect the submit page
and give the submitters their own password

This system will result in 2 positive results

#1 you can use the script to run your own tgp using your clients galleries.. an added bonus to you and your submitters

#2 you can break it into categories and tgp owners can just save the urls with a right click and paste them into their tgp pages from the actual tgp you run

Yeah but unless you have the script written for you, I dont think you can use someones sript as the main source of your business deal between webmasters.

If your gallery pool is built using someones script you owe them, (i think)

i've never read any restrictions on free gallery scripts

Most things that are used as "free" usually have a clause such as....

"not to be used for commercial purposes."

Somehow I doubt anyone who wrote a free tgp script was thinking somone could take that script start a business using that script? Have your sole client base utilize that script and the writer never see a penny?

mabye like a simple visual basic program where you list the galleries like

url - short description - long description - category

then you specify codes for each, like *url*, *sd*, * *ld*, *ct*. then the person who wants to use the galleries says they want it in a certain format like:

07/14: *ld* *url*

and they just put the link code in the url so it turns the description into a link. then you chose how many links you want and you chose the diff categories you want and it generates a list for you and you just cut and pase it into the html for your site. and instead of spending an hour to update, you spend less than 5 minutes. also gass customers get their galleries listed in tons of small tgps. i think this idea would work great and if you develope it, i will be the first one to use it on my tgp and also submit my galleries to it. i am already a gass customer.

tgpfeed already does this..

xml and csv output. everything you could possibly want to give the end users. already have a sample php script the client runs to grab the galleries and do whatever they want with them locally.
