I read all of the posts on this board and porncity's board about the dispute between Lensman, and Hypo. I do not draw any real conclusions.

It does cause me to ask these two questions of you that care to answer.

#1: How many of you have been screwed by a sponsor?

#2: How many of you trust your sponsor?

For anyone that may be wondering why I am making so many posts tonight, it is because I am uploading my newly optimized web pages to my site, so I have time on my hands.

By the way I have been burned by many sponsers. I won't name names (alot of them are now defunct), but a few are still current. I was never accused of cheating, it was usually "the dog ate the stats" type of excuse.

#3: How long have you been in this business?

I've been beat for 1000's from a couple sponsors.

Never been fucked by a sponsor. A few slow pays, but nothing I was worried about.

The only sponsor that has really disappointed me was Age Oath. It had tons of potential and now it's a fucked up mess that ARS is trying to wiggle out of and which Boss Hawg has seemingly abandoned.

Been fucked a few times.

I do trust a few.

I won't mention names except Busty and Penthouse, both of whom cancelled their recurring programs. I know their terms probably allowed them to, but it was still fucked.

For those who run or have ran webmaster affiliate programs:
1) How many of your webmasters have blatantly cheated?
2) How many of your webmasters have "bent the rules"
3) How many of your webmasters have complained of not getting paid, then realized it was because they hadn't made the minimum for a check payout?


Sadly, this business had degenerated so sponsors don't trust webmasters and webmasters don't trust sponsors....

There is nothing worse than dealing with a Ukranian newb who is vowing to wage holy jihad because his check for 52.06 has not arrived at his cave yet and emailing you 45 times a day threatening.

I was part of a program that had ICQ contacts for those of us involved with the program so we could deal with webmasters on a more "personal" level.

What a fucking mistake.

I pretty much feel that empathy is a sign of weakness, but for those of you out there who have to deal with webmasters on a daily basis... I salute you.

Only By Ezgreen as stated elsewhere and sort of by clickcash when they were bouncing cheques all over the place (more sort of fucked about far too much in the CC case). This is in a five year period. There's a couple of other I wouldn't use again but more because I dislike the way they do business than anything else.

However, I generally try to be careful picking sponsors and so far it's payed off for the most part :)
