honestly though unless they want to forever have the image of a rouge, shaddy company, they need to stop all scumware traffic, sue zango and protect themselves (urls) and people will come back. not everyone but most will. They raise payouts through some more parties, buy some drinks, etc... a lot of people here have short term memories.

Its funny that in all this hate, everybody overlooks the long time behaviors of GammaCash and PlatinumBucks -- who have been installing spyware on surfers machines and then selling them the spyware remover ...

It really goes to show you how the credibility of this industry in general is only as good as the in-crowd you may or may not hang with ...

I have no official opinion in the zango/aff/ifriends/will76/et al. case, nor do I wish to take the hours required to read up on all the facts to form an opinion, but I will say one thing .... if as many people paid the kind of attention to their own biz as they did to the biz of others, we'd prolly have alot more rich motherfuckers here!

Doing installs is 100x worse then buying traffic from scumware. It is bad enough adult webmasters don't realize what they are doing promoting shit like zango but how can an adult company who owns sites be so stupid do this.

I am here *protecting* my income. The time I have spent may have lost me a few dollars in less work getting done but it fails to compare to what i have lost to scumware in the past and what i stand to lose to it in the future.

PBucks owns SearchForIt.com .... which installs spywares on surfers machines (look closely at the source codes ... also confirmed by an emplyee of PB), and one of the prominent sponsored links is for SPYWARE NUKER ... It was reported to me that Pbucks has a partnership with this company.

My only point in any of this is that there is shady shit going on all over the industry ....

By putting so much effort into trying to ruin Lars' biz, this looks more like a witch hunt than anything else.

At any rate tread lightly my friend and do what you feel you must, but at the same time understand that by casting yourself into the spotlight, there are going to be people who monitor every time you fart ... and these same people will be just watching, waiting, and hoping that you slip up or do something anything less than stellar, and Karma may come back to bite your ass ...

Up to a point I agree with you. That is why I started a thread an hour or two back to draw attention to Platinum Bucks.

However, although we would be doing ourselves a favor if we stayed focused on the bigger picture, you cannot ignore Lars' own role. He posts prolifically on GFY and ever since his initial response, he frequently comes very close to gloating that he is putting one over on us all. As a result, his programs are coming in for the attention they deserve for being involved in these dirty tricks, but he is also getting attention for which his own arrogance is responsible.

jayeff, 2 for 2 today. Lars has adopted a "bread and circuses" mentality in dealing with this issue, the theory of just raising payouts, starting another contest / post count thread, and basically smoothing it over with more entertanment for the masses of webmasters who don't realize they are paying for this stuff out of thier own pockets.

Seeing today that not only has AFF gone back to buying these Zango popups, but now they are also buying the little space at the top for another add on Zango as well just makes me wonder.

The downward trajectory of their traffic, if confirmed and maintained over a longer period, is likely proof that this whole concept just isn't in their long term best interest.

This is going to go on until AFF and friends drop zango/scumware supported traffic. And they will only drop them when they realize that affiliates (that dropped them) would bring in more money than zango.. not because their heart grew two sizes bigger.

I could give a flying shit about that. I want to protect my income. What do you think is happening when the thousands of people clicking links on my site that say " Sign up by clicking here" and a AFF or Cams.com page is displayed. Can you realize how that is hurting my income.

If you think I am a "do-gooder" I have been here for 3 years find 1 cause I ever got behind before.

I know i have not stayed the course of focusing on the bigger picture like you would have liked but what I am posting to AFF is every bit deserved by them and not a witch hunt.

I orginally made posts asking sponsors if they cared where thier affiliate income is coming from. I was ignored. I starting calling a LOT of them out. I was ignored. Finally Zango took notice of me and in doing so THEY outed AFF. AFF now felt compelled to reply. He posted bullshit, I replied it was bullshit. If any of the other companies would have posted bullshit, I would have replied back to them as well. NO ONE ELSE replied. However Lars started laughing at us and insulting us, calling us sheep. I replied back. He started taking personal attacks at me, I replied back.

I am not on a witch hunt with him or his company. I would have done the same with any other company that would have acted the same way he did. But no one else replied. Only so much you can do when they don't reply.

Some people go after things in a different way and we have the benefit of having a lot of people helping us. I know some have developed code to try to beat zango, some people have looked into lawsuits, some people like me have put pressures on the sponsors who support zango and are willing to talk about it, some people like you try to work different angles. :2 cents:
