Poker Question: Pot Odds
 

Don't know if I'm asking the question right.... but, at what (pot odds) ratio do you consider it to be an automatic call, with a mediocre pair or decent drawing hand? 2:1? 4:1? higher?.....thanks

It depends on so many things, like your holding, your opponent, how the game has been, your roll at the table, how many cards to come, what you put your opponent on, how he probably feels about his hand, etc.

But with $40 in the pot, and $10 to call to see if you're good, nobody can really say shit I think.

3/1 is always a good call

It comes down to the situation if I am 5-1 to hit the card I need to win I would need higher pot odds.
But also if I am 5-1 but think I can get a large stack out of my opponent if I hit I might call with lower pot odds (implied pot odds)
