Although we're gradually growing out of it as a society, we still are plagued by the vestiges of Church promulgated sex hatred, which goes back hundreds and hundreds of years. There's really no logic behind it, and I don't think modern day prudes could explain to you exactly why sex is evil, other than the fact that their churches say it is. Then there are the more secular, more unchurched people, perhaps like this Ablow fool, who thoughtlessly buy into this idea that the enjoyment and celebration of sex is evil. I can respect the religious prudes much more than I can respect secular prudes, because the religious at least have some reason to hate sex. The secular prudes seem to hate sex because they think they're just supposed to.
