Who's getting this? Is it going to be as awesome as you think?

i wish, i really wanted to try and get one for my fiance. but i have checked all the places doing midnight releases and people have been camped out already. :Oh crap

maybe i can get him the wii since i read there are more of those.

Looks pretty mediocre so far.

All the multi-platform titles that have been reviewed so far are actually better on the 360 in the graphics department. (Call of Duty 3, Tony Hawk, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Need For Speed Carbon)

Third party developers seem to be having trouble with the frame rates on the PS3 for some reason. Not to mention the crippled or non-existent multiplayer on some of the games.

well, i wouldn't mind trying it. it looks a lot more fun to me :)

the multi-platform games are all ports so they weren't made for the ps3...launch titles are always a bit behind. Doesnt anyone remember the 360 launch? it was full of bugs and shit games

both systems will be good, Wii looks good but doesnt have the power if you are a serious gamer

I'm definitely going to get one... but not this year. I'm not one of those types that is going to spend triple the amount for a game system when I can just wait til the hype is over and pick one up.

Plus, the first run of PS3's will probably have bugs that will need fixing. If I remember, Sony had the same issue when releasing the PS2. The first run wasn't really up to par. I don't want to say "defective", but if I remember correctly, they did fix a couple things in later releases.

With that said, I'm happy with my 360 and all the games that Sony will have available (that I would play) are currently available on the 360.

I am a big Sony fan... but this holiday rush madness and over pricing is just not my thing.

Not enough to bust out and try to get one for a K+, with all the possible bugs, and support some PS3 scalper, besides if you wait a few months, thats when a lot of games will be available.

I'm going to try. I don't want it myself, but they are going for 2K+ on ebay. I've called and most stores in my area either aren't getting any or already pre-sold them. there is a local store that says they are getting 4 of them. Tomorrow morning at 6:45am they are going to hand out tickets to everyone that wants to buy one then at 7am they will have a drawing and the four winners get to buy them. I'm taking my brother to double my chances :)

I'll wait untill all the fuss has died down. Fuck camping out or paying dumb over the top prices. The console is expensive enough as it is...

I heard some major game developers were dropping sony and going MS - so I got a 360. Im happy with it and wont be buying a ps3. Ive got the ps2 and a 360 and that will do me.

Shoot em Up = Blazing Angels.
Adventure = Oblivion.
