*pics* 210 gallon tank setup - update of earlier post

spent the last week getting the new tank setup.

http://www.bithosting.net/tank/images/fishtank007.jpg

filled the first time.. took two big bags of gravel to keep the new driftwood down

http://www.bithosting.net/tank/images/fishtank011.jpg

took a couple days for the water to clean up some.. driftwood now staying under with just 1/2 a bag of gravel.

http://www.bithosting.net/tank/images/fishtank018.jpg

really cleared up after 4-5 days now.. all the fish are settling in well

theres a gallery with a bunch of pics here http://www.bithosting.net/tank/index.html

Nice setup. You need some cooler fish now. :P

Holly 11-16-2006 01:39 PM

Do you have something for that poor turtle to hang out on? :(

I don't do fish, but I have hermit crabs and I'm wanting to get something that's at least 150 gallons. The only problem is, I like the longs and I can't find them as easily in the bigger sizes.

I've been thinking about having one made. Someone told me that any glass shop can make me one to fit any specs I want, and it's much cheaper.

cool1 11-16-2006 01:50 PM

very nice :thumbsup
working on another 55 gallon myself
I love watching my fish play and fight

BradM 11-16-2006 01:54 PM

I have a small 10gal and it makes me happy. :)

Mr Pheer 11-16-2006 02:16 PM

very nice...

I only have a 75 gallon tank, but its been setup for over two years and I've never had to clean it. Water is crystal clear and the fish seem to be healthy

RevSand 11-16-2006 07:39 PM

Your slider does not try to eat the fish? I have two sliders and when I put any fish in the tank they go into chase and attack mode.

evildick 11-16-2006 07:54 PM

I always heard turtles were a no-no for pets because of the risk of salmonella.

MaddCaz 11-16-2006 07:55 PM

Spunky 11-16-2006 08:03 PM

theres something about them not being good pets for small children cause kids like to put stuff in their mouth, i think its only when the turtles are babies also.

Rinaldo 11-17-2006 08:20 AM

Nice tank.

I'm setting up my 120 now.
With 200 pounds of live rock, 12 anemone, 20 coral and 9 fish.
I'll post pics when it's done, but it'll look almost identical to this.

I only have a 10 and a 30 right now, used to have an 80 but sold it when I moved into the apartment. :(

E$_manager 11-17-2006 10:04 AM

I had fishes that tried to make babies but other fished always ate their caviar. :( That was so sad.
